Im not trying to get on you or anything but, LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Are you serious? Damn, someone need to KRS-1 you(lol). Ma, Hip hop started out in the Bronx. Its roots are from the West Indies which was brought over to NYC and thats how hip hop got started. NY was making movies also(the Original Movie capital of the world), there's no need to hate on any area, we all the same people. To discredit that Hip Hop started in NY, is to discredit all the Pioneers who made it possible for T.I and everybody else to eat(that i have a huge problem with). The people who were told they form of music isn't real music, and is only a fad, the people who had to go to the parties and rock the crowd and PROVE they were the real deal, to the Mc's who had to go into hostile parties when heads were Shooting(made you look), the graffiti movement(You know, like the art work on T.I album cover), etc etc etc. Shit is mad disrespectful. Im not going to give my opinion of NY hip hop, or southern hip hop, this is my first time even coming on this board and i only came on to see if there was any topics about T.I bitting another artist style, but when i saw this post I had to register and reply. Few more points: -Commercial hip hop started out in Cali -Hip Hop in NY is more than just beats to the real hip hop heads -NY Hip Hop is real advance -Buy a few classic albums, and get that hip hop vibe -T.I is a pretty good artist, and i can tell he study the NY hip hop game. He have potential to be one of the best in the south ever -Niggas stop acting like NY have been down for 10 years or something. From the Late 70's to the earlier 90's, it was NY, from 93 to 96, NY was taking the shine back from the West who was holding it down for some years, and from 96-02 NY had it Locked again. Southern Hip Hop largely been getting air play from 03-Present. I think NY is in for a huge Renaissance, with real Mc's with real content are on they way and will force the corporate companies to play the real Music instead of just shoving it underground. -If anybody care(probably most don't), i can list some Classic to great hip hop albums to listen to, that you might not know or listen to before.
