Not even sure if they much read through the messageboards, but I wanted to give the hugest thanks to Tally Hall, specifically Joe Hawley and Bora Koraca for giving me(Caleb) and my friend (Sarah) a ride and for taking pity on us because our car got towed/impounded, and we needed a ride to the lot.

[b:c6f7913734]My Myspace bulletin sums it up:[/b:c6f7913734]

Gas to get to Hollywood: $24
Illegally parking for a concert: $0
Car getting towed from a Walgreens: $Kinda Funny/Sad
Cost to get the car back: $225

Having the band(Tally Hall) agree to drive me to the impound lot: [i:c6f7913734]Priceless[/i:c6f7913734]

There's some things money can't buy...for everything else, a pouty face'll do.

Once again, thank.you.thank.you.thank.you TALLY HALL AND CO.
Really got me out of a jam. Smiler

Yeah, you could say I was.....[b:454b20aa88]Taken For A Ride[/b:454b20aa88] har har har

Anyways. Justin wanted to know the whole story as to what actually happened and I assume maybe more'd like to know..so I'll tell the ol' story.

Basically, we decided to park in the Walgreen's parking lot across the street, and watch the acoustic show at the record store, and then before the actual show, we'd move the car to a pay-parking lot. Only trouble is...we forgot to actually move it after the acoustic set Frowner

So...the show turns out to be bloody amazing..both shows, actually. And then as we're walking to my car Sarah says "Uh....where's your car?" I thought she was joking until I looked up, and the parking lot was basically empty...and my first thought was it was stolen and I was crushed, but then we realized it was probably just towed. So I went up and called all the numbers on the sign which led me to this one guy who told me where the impound was and that it'd cost $225 cash to get it back *Sigh*

1:00AM - So I ran back to the show to see if any of our new "friends" could give us a ride, but none of them were "of age" or had a car, hahaha..GREAT. (Don't even live in LA..I live in Bakersfield...like 2 hours north)

Annnnd, I needed $200 cash, so I had to run like 4 blocks to a BofA ATM past all these weird people in the shadows that looked like they were gonna jump me. So I crossed the street, and bolted all the way back to the Echo with the cash. (Luckily I just got paid in the morning)

So I gets this brilliant idea, as I notice Tally Hall packin their instruments up in the van, to see if they could give me a ride to the impound.

I walk up and I'm like "Alright guys...I have this request for ya." "Ya see..." (and I told Joe the whole story) And he was real sympathetic towards us and the whole situation and happened to be leaving soon, so he said he'd "Take care of us.." and then he talked to Bora bout the whole thing and he happened to have a little GPS thingy that could find the place real easy. So the 4 of us(Joe, Bora, Me and Sarah) jumped into the SUV thingy and were on our way, through backstreets and slums and whatnot.

On the way, I asked Joe how Michigan was...as opposed to California..He replied "Very Michiginian" Good answer.

Finally made it, although it seemed to be a horror-movie-esque type of poorly-lit sketchy ally, but they nicely waited while we made sure we weren't gonna get killed or anything. We didn't die. But I did however, have to pay $225 and then hit up Denny's on the way home.

But the ride with Tally made it a bit more worth it..Thanks again Joe and Bora.

This story reminds me of a similar incident that happened to me.

I went to this bar/lounge in the hopes that i would be able to see one of the most amazing live bands in the world, A Sound Mind.

My way of getting there and back was via train, and the last train back to my place was a few mins after midnight.

Anyway, the doors opened at 8, and i got there and it was empty, normally there should be heaps of people, and the bands should be there with there shit ready on stage. But they weren't. 1.5 hours later they START sound checking for the support band.

The support band sucked (stupid hardcore/emo/metal bands), and they took too long, same with the other two bands.
The hours went on, and my eyes kept constantly checking the time, making sure i wasn't going to miss my train home.
But the last support band took WAY too long, even the sound tech guy had to say to them over the P.A. "seriously guys, last song"

I missed the last train, but i thought, heck seeing A Sound Mind live would be so worth missing my last train home and forking out the $40 or whatever it took to catch a cab home.

The minutes rolled by and A Sound Mind hadn't set up their equipment yet, and i see them standing around talking to the sound tech guy... it's now nearly 1am, and A Sound Mind haven't even set-up, so i approach them to see what the dealio is.

Well, turns out that because the support bands took too long to start and had way too long sets, there was no time for them to play, the venue had to close in 30 minutes. I was shattered.

I helped the guys carry their equipment back out and load up their cars, and i was just about to call a cab when the guitarist turns around and goes "hey, i can give you a lift home, where abouts do you live?" i told him which suburb and he said "oh yea, im passing through there, i can give you a lift home if you'd like"

So he gave me a lift home, and he wanted to put something more "mellow" on because the support bands were so loud (and shit) and i just happened to have Tally Hall's album on me at the time, so we listened to it, and he really enjoyed it... to a degree.

Also, i told him where i worked, and he said he lived near there, so he said he'd drop in now and then, and today he did, and gave me a demo of a new song that no one apart from the members of the band have heard Big Grin
