are they working on one-will they be working on one anytime soon?


I'd like sugar ray to decide are we done or are we going to countiue to make new music.As munch as i'm glad i'll see them july 1st -i don't want a nestaga act.

Another album will be coming out next year and that came straight out of Mark's mouth at the meet and greet in Virginia!

In 2007 they had 4 (!) years for writing new songs.... since the last album (the best-of I don´t count..)

I got an answer on the myspace webside that they will do a new album for 2007....which kind..?? We don´t know... Let´s see...!
But I hope so much that we get new songs as soon as possible....! I NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to know what an EP is also? Must be a shorter length cd??? Not sure. But either way I'm psyched!!

If at least one song off the EP were to make it big wouldn't it be worth having just a little Sugar Ray then none at all? As hardcore fans we wish for the most, but we need to be realistic here. Mark has a 9-5 job, Craig's in Miami now, Stan, Murf, & Rod all have families now and getting all five guys together for any length of time is nothing short of a miracle. I will take what I can get when I can get it. And I'll take 4 or 5 songs over nothing any day.

But you are right... I would be happy about every new SR song...! But it´s so sad that we don´t have more new songs of the guys.... I love Mark´s voice sooo much...!!

It's just a saying when most people work full time. Meaning that's the hours they put in. 9:00 to 5:00.

Which s*cks... I'm just wondering how they expect anything EP, CD, Single... to do much good when they have no time to tour? Touring is a huge part of promoting the music. No way they can do a full tour(which is needed to properly promote) with Mark on EXTRA. I wish he'd quit that job already. But I guess he prefers being on screen these days vs on stage.

I don't think he needs to quit. I'm happy to see him there and he's putting his college degree to great use. Yes I'd like to see them tour more, but I'll take what I can get even if it means driving all over the United States to see them. I will do that. I can't break my chain of seeing them at least once a year. I think a lot of people are really crapping on the guys lately. I don't think it's fair to the guys. They're human for crying out loud! They never promised anyone they'd do this forever and they still do what they do and love it so we should be thankful that we get what we get when we get it. I'm sure for the guys the time away from home & family is a double edged sword. They get a break from family, but then again they're not with their families and that can suck. I'm just glad they're still around making music and having fun and appreciating us fans. That makes me happy and I honestly think it makes them happy too.

Debbie, nobody is crapping on the guys, just p*ssing on Mark. Ok bad joke. Anyway, it's easier for those without kids to travel where ever to see them but lots of us have kids in school and can't do that. All I'm saying is, if you're a band putting out an album, you need to tour it or else chances of it doing well are very slim. We already know radio rarely plays any of Sugar Ray's new stuff so the only way to get it heard is on the road. My rants are not about me b*tching and moaning about not seeing them, it's about the guys and wanting them and their music to do great. With that, I many times sound like I'm criticizing but it's out of love baby. You can't have love without a little criticism sometimes. And yes they have families but this is the career they chose. It's like are you still a band or not? I've read so many comments here, I've even posted some myself, about how articles and magazines refer to Mark as former singer of Sugar Ray. Well with Mark on EXTRA and the band rarely doing concerts, I can see why they think that...it looks like that.

If I never see them in concert again, I'm ok with that because I've been to a lot of SR shows and all of them were great and I'll have those memories forever. I just feel if you're still down with the music, bring it. If not, don't leave us hanging. Just say it.

As far as Mark on EXTRA, we'll just agree to disagree on that because seeing him on EXTRA is not enough for me. Sure a lot of fans are just satisfied seeing his face anywhere, tv...mags...etc... For me it's all about the music and I love seeing all the guys and I love seeing Mark where he looks best...on stage.
