For some reason, it doesn't work me as well. Is there another site like YouTube with this video? Or just tell us what he said...

I got it on http://www.artisannews.com and it works. Here's a recap:
Now that a reunited Stone Temple Pilots is well on their way, Matt Sorum has said that it was the reunion offer, a lazy show in Europe, and Weiland's lack of backbone that caused the split with Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently playing with friends for a Los Angeles residency for Camp Freddy, but he shared his thoughts on his former singer. Sorum said that Weiland was swayed by industry insiders who wanted him to be back in Stone Temple Pilots. "When the album (Libertad) came out it wasn't as impactful as the first record. I think at that point people in the business end of things started dangling the carrot for STP and pulled him away from us a little bit I think. He started getting his head someplace else. Unfortunately when people dangle the carrot sometimes you bite. The vibe got weird, and I think we just felt the vibe. And it just kind of got bad at that point." The current Velvet Revolver drummer and former Guns N' Roses drummer remembers one particular show in Europe where he expressed his remorse over the band's lack of presence. "I did a blog on my website, which I get 200 people look at it? I don't know how many people look at it. The strangest thing about the internet now is that damn Google alert! So I just put up a blog. I said, 'Hey man...' At first I thought it was sort of damage control, kind of thing, and I said, 'Hey I'm sorry about the vibe onstage.' We were in Glasgow, Scotland in front of some of the greatest fans in the world, and I felt bad for them. I really did. I felt bad. I was in my hotel, and I couldn't sleep. I was upset, and I said, 'I'm really sorry for what went down some of us are just unhappy." When confronted about the war in the blogs and news, Sorum said that Weiland was less than manly about the situation. "Everybody could see what was going on that was there at the gig. It was very evident. I just said, 'Hey...' That's what I felt at the time, and the next thing I know it's up on Blabbermouth and every other site in the world, and then I got the wrath of Mr. Scott Weiland -- skinny little guy as he is. He's the kind of guy that would drive by you in a car and shout out some s--t to you, and then he's got three buddies in there -- and then run. It's like f--k you too, pal! You know? If I saw him right now he'd probably be running down an alley way. He knows I'm twice his size. What the f--k?!" Velvet Revolver is continuing on and we'll have details later this week on their singer situation. We also will hear from Sorum tomorrow about the comparison between his former singers Axl Rose and Scott Weiland. If you're in the Los Angeles area you can see Camp Freddy's month-long residency Thursdays at the Roxy in Hollywood, California. Corey Taylor, Tommy Lee, and Chad Smith have been some of the noted musicians sitting in. What an ass, if the "carrot was dangled at him" for a GNR reunion (If Adler wasn't available) he'd take it in a heartbeat, and why should Scott have stayed in VR if his heart wasn't there? And then the remark about him being a "skinny little man" and being able to beat up Scott, what a bitter man, he needs to just let it go like Scott and Slash seem to have in the last month or so. ---------------------------------- STP SHOWS: 5/1/08 6/24/08 12/31/08 7/1/09 STP RELATED SHOWS Velvet Revolver- 7/22/06 Velvet Revolver- 9/15/07 Scott Weiland- 12/14/08 |

I checked back too late. Sorry my site didn't work. Thank you StoneTempleBrett for the review.
I think it was more than a carrot being dangled in front. If they were all adults and tighter as a band, then Scott could have bounced back and forth between VR and STP I agree that Matt has some real bitterness going on ... could there be some jealousy going on too??? |

No shit, Scott and VR were his meal ticket and now that's in jeopardy, he's got to be jealous as shit and eating his words from last summer, "Nobody's biding their fucking time waiting for Stone Temple Pilots to reunite." Turns out he was wrong, he knows it, and is jealous.

i'd put my money on the "skinny little man" any day sorum. weiland's walked the streets... big deal sorum, you partied in a 5 star hotel in bolivia... scott was coping dope in the projects on foot in nyc and dc and la... i think he's got some street smarts, and is probably a little craftier than you give him credit for... scott would wear your fat tired ass out... frontman, with stamina, vs a fat drummer? take the street smarts vs a total fat head idiot factor out, and you're left with pure physical shape...so you're stronger sorum, but can you out last scott, i doubt it...so unless you "steal" him, you're not gonna knock him out... scott could've continued to make one spead semi-barbaric meathead metal with an over grown f(r)at boy like you, who does nothing but poorly serve a terrible image...an image of leather wearing bad ass womanizing hard partying old men ... or scott can wear finely tailored suits, play creative and artistic music to an open minded politically motivated over rabid fan base, live healthy and happy, while once again playing with his brothers since he was 15 years old, his "home team", to sold out crowds across the nation... what a tough decision... besides, sorum is the one out in the cold totally... most of the mentions i've heard about a guns reunion have involved adler and not sorum, and i think it's inevitable that the replacing scott gimmick will blow up in their face... how do you replace the irreplaceable... just because they were able to pull scott to replace axl (12 years later), and find success with one of their two records (albeit the far worse of the two as l[bertad is great), but you're not going to get chris cornell to replace scott like the fans want, and no one else can come even close... if you sold 500,000 copies total so far of libertade, you're lookin at 200,000 - 250,000 max...with a hit single with any other singer on this planet today that would potentially take the job. i don't know who that would possibly be, because cornell wouldn't ever do it...layne is dead... shannon hoon is dead... axl is the rest of the guy's only hope (though thanks alot in part to scott, slash has picked up in enough big endorsements in the last few years to live happily ever after)... but duff and matt... you guy's should've shut up and known your roles... scott is the entire backbone...the entire heart and soul to libertad...it's he and the collaboration with brendan o'brien that make it so much better than the song's written entirely before scott was in the band and produced by josh abraham...
wonder if anyone is getting any audio of these reunion show's...i'd love to have some boots... especially camden... i have a bunch of video clips....but no mp3's... "The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the one's who have gone over."- Hunter S. Thompson "Summer nights and long warm days Are stolen as the old moon falls My mirror shows another face Another place to hide it all Another place to hide it all And I'm lost, behind The words I'll never find And I'm left behind As seasons roll on by" - Season's by Chris Cornell www.chriscornell.com |

So now, there is a second part to the interview with Matt where he compares Scott to Axl. To sum up, he regrets putting Axl down in the past, because now he realizes he wasn't so bad compared to Scott. He states that at least Axl was selling out 50,000 arenas vs. Scott's 5,000 and boasts about the luxuries of being on the road with Axl (private jet/own limo). (With no disrespect to Axl, Scott does has consistency and longevity in the business.)
I always had a favorable impression of Matt, but now, not so much!!! If he can be this much of an ass on camera, imagine what his true colors are like. |

I think it's interesting that when Sorum compared life on the road with Axl and Scott, it was all about what they could provide for him. He just happens to be the lucky benefactor. Scott and Axl are doing all the work.

Kind of rings a memory back to the last stp tour. Was it 2003? I just recall during the shows you could really feel that scott wasn't giving it his all, the tour was for the money, and none of them really had much heart or feeling put into it. Really sad to watch in my opinion!
You're not Christ, you're not Prince Hamlet, you're not even Ralph Nader! |

Axl didn't pack 50,000 people. Guns N Roses packed 50,000 people. Scott Weiland didn't just get 5,000 people. Velvet Revolver's shitty success with Libertad could only round up 5,000 people. Plus, how selfish is this ass when one of the only comments he really has to make is based on what luxuries OTHER people can get him?!?! That's not what it's about you retard!!!!!! Honestly, Weiland took his shots back at Sorum and since then he's dropped it and wished the rest of the crue well and spoken civilly about his time with VR. Sorum just needs to get over it and just find new coattails to ride on cause you know a supergroup cover band isn't really gonna get him those private jets anytime soon. ________________________________ Hold me closer.....closer......let me go! |

He spoke some truth though, towards the end scott was somewhere else. It was like that with STP, seems like scott doesnt care much for fans. Singling them out at shows often, not showing up to shows and then that video he made with his son and joe dirt about not pirating music. Its bad for business but hes got way more money than i do and i bought all the stp cd's, let me download libertad!

Scott missed ONE show. ONE Show. And it wasn't a public show that FANS bought tickets to...it was a PRIVATE party at the Sundance Film Festival. Do you think I or anyone else for that matter give a rats ass that Paris Hilton was disappointed? Yes the AUS rescheduled dates were scrapped because of rehab. But those dates wouldn't have had to be rescheduled if MATT wasn't the cause of the first cancelation with his rehab stint. As for the David Spade bit...it was a JOKE. A Skit. And it was fucking funny. |
