I called it a couple months ago!!!! I told you he was feeling drained of his inspiration in vr! i said he knew he could find his inspiration and be himself again in stp! i mentioned the stage outfits. how he was just going thru the motions, wearing that same thing every single night. scott the chamelion weiland in the same thing every night?!!!? i knew the "corporation" (dave kushners words) that is velvet revolver was holding scott back, and partly responsible for his relapse. he felt caged. vr is (was) a corporation first and foremost.

kushner gave an interview a couple years ago talking about the pressures of dealing with a band that's a 5 man corporation, and how many jobs are at stake etc... imagine the pressure scott was feeling, when in the beginning, because of how he dressed, and the gnr fans thought he was too much of a "fag", management gave him that stupid red white and black suit with the army hat. now we know the real meaning of the nazi symbol deal... i called it... and i hope at the reunion tour he burns his vr outfits onstage!!!!! *rockin with a boa, eyeliner, and red mohawk* i knew it!!! i knew what was ticking in his head the whole time... damn he and i think alike...

speaking of his army hat... i was looking at pictures the other day and he was wearing that hat in all of them and the only thought going through my mind was "fuck! that hat is pissing me off!" i think after vr is done if scott never wears one of those fucking hats again it will be too soon.

Ok, here's another pointless post. Just made this one of Scott from the new group photo. I think I wanna stick with this one. Damn, I really fucking wish we could use HTML code. I would show off my fucking sigs.

Once they sign a new record deal I'll bet the board will switch servers since this is an Atlantic Records powered board, so I'd guess we'll finally get HTML sigs if/when that happens.

Also those Slash fanboys are getting crazy there bashing Scott yet, surprise, they're not banned yet.

I want to know how Matt would handle the situation if he was Admin over there. I don't like the Admin/staff/mods/whatever over there too much. I like how they're tolerant but that also means they have no fucking backbone to stop and suspend the people who are breaking the rules (quite a few).

Well, I wasn't too keen on Velvet Revolver to begin with, or Army Of Anyone, because the four musicians that make STP work the best together. They're like a family.

With that said, the biggest problem I had with Velvet Revolver, even when I saw them live, was it looked like Scott had just been tamed. I was expecting the same kind of stage presence he had in STP, but honestly it just wasn't there. Same with both albums. Musically, it was alright if it wasn't for the fact that the whole time I felt "Wow man... this is just way out of character for Scott Weiland."

The beauty of STP is musically and vocally, they have a way of changing styles and still making it sound unified and overall very good. I felt like instrumentally in VR, everyone was kinda like "Yeah man, let's just be badass. Every song, let's just try to make it all about this badass image like it was back in 1988."

The truth is, it's good for one album, but when Libertad came out, Scott probably came to the same conclusion that many of us did... it's just getting old.

^^^Exactly my view, super groups just don't work and with Velvet Revolver's death hopefully there is never another supergroup, UNLESS it's a one off record like Temple of the Dog.

Well, I was into Vr. there's no doubt about that. but you hit the nail on the head, when you said "it got old". they drive at one speed, and that's basically full throttle. okay, so you have your ballads, and fall to pieces will be legendary forever no matter what, but you didn't really have art. scott weiland is an artist/musician. the other guy's, aren't artists. they're rock musicians. slash is an artist, well he is a student, and could be an artist, though he chooses to be a rock musician. there is a distinct difference. scott got to be a rock star for awhile, and i was along with him for the ride.

now it's time for us both to take our cleaned up acts back home, and for the phoenix that is stp, to rise of the ashes, and continue making the art they left back in 2001/2002. I can't wait for the first fcking mohawk this much i can definitely tell you. and some eyeliner...without those damn pants they pulled straight out of axls wardrobe... cheap bastards...

I've seen VR 8 times. As early as 05 to most recently this past NYE. Scott was always Scott. He didn't disappoint me. But how would you feel looking out into an audience of kids wearing top hats who weren't even alive when AFD was released? Then the other half are wearing the same nazi hat you sported for two years?

I have no idea what my triade has to do with the Scott vs Matt thing, I just wanted to get it off my chest. OH BUT every once in a while....you will catch Scott pulling a garment out of his "way back" closet. I think he owns everything he wore in STP.

OH but last night on CFR someone DID call in to ask Morrison and Navarro what the hell was going on between Sorum and Weiland....of course they acted dumb (puleeeeeeze those two are on their computers 19 out of 24 hours). So the caller explains the situation...they still acted as if they didn't know....but a little later on Dave quoted the "Serve...volley" line in Scott statement SAYING "In Scott's statement he said serve dot dot dot volley" and they both cracked up saying they weren't taking sides however that was THE BEST LINE EVER. Probably because Dave the ever diplomat secretly wished he could have posted a rant like that towards Perry in his lifetime.

I've never listened to VR besides the singles on the radio. VR is a gimmick, where in Scott playes the role because he's paid to. He was the "hired gun" that they decided to keep after the "Money" cover, it was never really Scott's music and his ideas. Just them trying to make a buck. It is good (however childish) too hear what Scott really thinks for once.

Photo sigs were taken away even on the bigger board because people used too many large photos for even that server to handle, esp. in popular threads where those people might post several times. Though I do miss those Johnny Depp threads .

There will probably be a new board that will be hosted by Signatures. It has NOTHING to do with the possibility of a new album or anything of that nature (I'm looking at you Brett).

That being said, I can enable HTML. I disabled it a long time ago because people were abusing it and the board loads much faster without oversized images.

Matt...when will there be a new board? Do we have to sign up again? Do we keep our user name still?

I think I like this board without picture signatures, this type of board doesn't work well with them. If we get a different board though, it might be a good change (to picture sigs). Matt, I think we all would like to know your opinion on the Sorum-Weiland situation.
