between this and Splendor in the Grass, I'm already sick of these intense emotional attachment films.

I miss HBO, and money and stuff too.

I did see this the other day:

Loved it, mainly because of the fat guy running out of his house naked. It got my jag on haaad.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

as wonderfully weird and wacky as that cover would suggest. like watching a gangster movie on acid.

just gorgeous. the light and colors in this film are stunning.

from the new DVD of Burden Of Dreams, this morning i watched the 20-minute short documentary Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe, which is one of the funniest things i've seen in a while. basically, Herzog challenged Errol Morris that if Morris could go out and make a feature film, then Herzog would eat his shoe at the premiere. Morris immediately went and made Gates of Heaven, and Herzog fulfilled his bet. Truly hilarious (especially the scenes of Herzog fastidiously preparing and cooking the shoe) but the ever-fascinating Herzog also had a lot of intelligent and insightful things to say about filmmaking and culture in general, which lent some depth and gravitas to his silly act. And of course there were Herzog's typically outrageous comments: "We should declare holy war against commercials, there should be real war against ads, against talk shows, and Bonanza, and Rawhide."

The Upside of Anger
The Incredibles

And I finished watching season 2 of "Deadwood." I didn't think it was as good as the first season overall, but it's still one of the best things on TV.

I saw the machinist yesterday and it sortof sucked. the soundtrack was really bad and after the "big twist" it left me thinking about fight club and all those other movies...

I forgot that this was good, especially the end.

I don't think this one was nearly as good. How bad does that make Schumacher's sequels?

I really liked Batman Forever. Batman and Robin is even worse than you've heard though.

I've seen them both. I thought they were god awful. Val Kilmer is so bad, I can't believe the roles he's gotten. Chris O'Donnell too.

I thought the second season of Deadwood was as good, if not better, than the first. Except for the season premiere. The plot of that episode just seemed out of place and unnecessary. They never adequately explained why it happened. It seemed like they just wanted to open the season with a bang.
