that says it all, they really are one of the worst bands in mainstream music. are they a social distortion cover band?

the lyrics are the lamest shit anyone can turn out, it reminds me of that iron man song

I have a gun and it kicks ass
i kill the bad guys cause im so badd ass!
yea yea!

thats the whole song in a nutshell, not creative. Its just a plug in the words song that somehow people like.

but you summed it up pretty well, its their best song in awhile which says a whole lot about the band

The new single "Hammerhead" kicks ass. The Offspring kick ass. Just stick with "Smash" or "Americana" if you don't like their new stuff, nobody is forcing you to listen to it.

Also, wrong forum.

I bought it too and I like it as well, it's just not as strong as their past albums.

No, I know where you are heading with the topic in the whole "I hate everything Offspring has done" so I was jokingly suggesting their two biggest albums. Hey, it's your opinion and I honestly respect your opinion, I just don't agree with it.

I'm going to be buying their albums for forever. I don't even know how many they have now, but I think I have most of them. Not rocket science to be sure, but I think its a little part nostalgia and a much bigger part that for me, The Offspring are just musical comfort food. I don't care what year it is, when I buy a new Offspring album, I know exactly what it will sound like before I listen to it. And with this band for some reason, I appreciate it, instead of being annoyed by it.

You're wildly uninformed if you think Local H sounds anything like the Offspring.

STP is (obviously) one of "my bands" too, so I guess Tiny Music was really their "Americana" huh?

Where do Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Okkervil River, Beck, or Kings of Leon fit into the mix?
