And let me say, not only did it live up to all the hype, but it shattered my expectations.

It was so fucking good.

I went to buy the tickets to the midnight show but it was sold out, so I ended up seeing it at 3:15AM.

It was great, but I would have paid better attention if I wasn't dozing off every 20 minutes. I have to say Two-Face and Joker are much better in this movie than the past movies.

One of the best films I have ever seen. There is no question that it will shatter the opening weekend record in sales.

Apparently it made $88 million just on midnight showings alone.

Not perfect but still great. You've heard all the praise over and over, so my gripes.

Why bring back the Scarecrow but give him less than 5 minutes? Fuck that.

The finale wasn't nearly as exciting as the rest of the movie.

Two Face came and went with a wimper. His death was boring. For a movie so awesome surely they could think of something better than a "Let my boy go!" scene.

And, sorry, Christian Bale's "Bat voice" is still incredibly lame. It's corny to the point of being distracting. I can get behind the reasoning, but how anyone involved heard this particular voice alteration and said "Oh, yes, this is the one" is beyond me. It's awful.

Didn't ya know, when you put the Batman mask on, your voice suddenly becomes deeper and hoarse.

The whole bringing of Two-Face then killing him off after 10 minutes was lame, but it's better than Spiderman 3's "Venom and Sandman working together" scene. The entire Spiderman 3 movie pisses me off.

The finale was kind of lame but I didn't expect it so I didn't mind.

it was badass. I like the darker stories much better than the first ones that tried to be campy like the TV show.

If you're that concerned about spoilers and don't have the common sense to not join a thread about the movie from people who have seen the movie, I really don't care if it gets spoiled for you.

I could understand if it were a week later, but the movie opened yesterday Dante's peak. Maybe some people just want to find out whether it was good or not! It's a known common courtesy to puta *spoiler alert* or some nonsense at the top of your post so those of us that haven't seen it can just scroll over it. Pretty standard. Key word is "Warn". I'm not even that concerned but I'm sure a lot of other people are!

I didn't feel like I was watching a "superhero movie." Characters like the Joker seemed more real in both the way that he looked and acted. His makeup his smeared on and he looks like he has never taken a shower. In other words, he appeared like he just doesn't care about anything. He is a complete psycho and you can really see that. Bravo to Heath Ledger.

I saw The Dark Knight last night and going into it, I expected it to be good but was worried that my expectations would be too high because of all the positive buzz surrounding the movie. I am happy to say that I was FAR from disappointed. Seriously...the movie fucking ROCKED and is definitely the best movie I've seen in theaters in YEARS. If Heath Ledger (who stole the show and was one of the best villains ever) doesn't get a posthumous Oscar, then I'll be really pissed. Everyone should go see it even if you don't like Batman! I'm not a big fan of the character and still loved the movie!

I'm with Wicked. I don't like comic book movies, at all. In fact, I almost universally hate them. The thing about THIS reboot of Batman is the fact that they're barely comic books, they're (for the most part) grounded in reality. The Joker is a supervillan but does nothing spectacular, that guy isn't that far removed from the world we live in. I would buy that. We've had people just as fucked up. This is just a great crime epic, with some truly fantastic dialogue. I read somewhere, and I agree, that this isn't a comic book movie, but just a great crime movie, that can stand with The Untouchables, Departed, Heat, etc.

I know a lot of people that like Batman because he's just a human who can kick a lot of ass. Personally, Spiderman is my favorite superhero but The Dark Knight is what Dante said...not really a superhero movie but a great crime film with awesome dialogue and excellent acting.

Made our donation to the Batfunds today...well worth it!

Its funny you mention Heat...when I was watching the initial bank robbery, that's exactly what I thought of.

Bale was great, wish Dent would have lived, and Ledger NAILED his role.

I have to say though I'm really impressed that Ledger broke out as much as he did as an actor. I never had much interest in him until this role, primarily since A Knights Tale and 10 things I hate about you aren't really roles to be particularly noteworthy. can't wait to see it!
