Verdict?

A nice complement to the Daily Show. And it's really fucking funny.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

It's quite good, and should continue to improve as Colbert gets used to hosting.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't even watched it yet.

I don't even watch TDS anymore. Jon Stewart's head has gotten too big for my taste. It got unfunny.

I've seen two episodes so far. The first one with Stone Phillips...fantastic. The one with Zakaria...really weak.

Withholding judgement for now...

The one from last Tuesday was the weakest, but it was still good.

They can't all be perfection though.

Has anybody been watching Too Late with Adam Carolla? It's the first time he's actually been good on television. He's going to be taking over for Stern in the east. I'm excited for him.

I'll admit Too Late has gotten better since he stopped doing his retard rants at the beginning, but I still switch the channel after the Colbert Report. To me he's annoying in the way that Colin Quinn was annoying.

It has a chance of staying on the air I guess.

The first couple episodes of Too Late were so horrifically bad that I'm not sure I'm willing to give the show another shot.

A few episodes later, I've concluded that the Colbert Report's definitely worth watching, but I can't shake the feeling that he's infinitely better in smaller DailyShowsegmentsized doses. First episode (and perhaps the couple I missed) aside, he can't seem to avoid having a noticeable amount of filler material.

But I guess you could say the same for the Daily Show, to a lesser extent.

Edit: Also, I miss Tough Crowd. Mostly because of Jim Norton.

i've only seen one colbert episode, i liked what i saw.

i really like to late, the problem is adam's voice is soooooo hard to stomach late at night. he's one octave shy of being gilbert godfrey.

the funniest part about tough crowd was watching Collin try to speak. ...and nick dipalo.

formerly PilotsInChains....forgive me for my absence. I beg it of you!

If you could pick an all star “most irritating band ever” (both in musical terms and if they held a press conference), what would the line up be?
Vocals: Bono
Lead Guitar: Dave Navarro
Rhythm Guitar & Backing Vocals (although he'd never admit they were
just backing vocals): Lenny Kravitz
Bass: Sting
Drums: Lars Ulrich
Backing Vocals & Dancing: Michael Stipe
