Bloodied by the thorns beside the leaves
That fall because my hand is
Pulling them hard as I can

I haven't read any books or movies or anything, but there were a lot of articles in the papers saying how parents wouldn't their children read the books because Harry Potter's wizardry promotes Satanism.

the first time i heard that i thought someone was kidding. as a parent, if you're really worried, read the stuff yourself and make your own determination. that's what we do with pg-13 movies at our house. i'll rent it and watch it myself and then say "yes" or "no".
the harry potter books are great (and i'm a pretty conservative parent). harmless fantasy that makes my kids want to read is okay with me.

imagine what will happen when all those soccer moms find out that the pope says rock is devil-music. No more stp for catholic children...

censorship just pisses me off in any form.

Apparently even the forms that aren't censorship.

Not that their reaction isn't silly.

I actually heard the a lot of religious people like their kids reading Harry Potter because they see him as a Jesus figure. I'm not sure what's more crazy...

Uhhh I'm probably a bit late to post here but yes I stood in line (32nd to receive my book) but you only waited for 40 minutes or so to get a bracelet (at Barnes & Noble). Then you come back right before midnight. piece of cake.

Ordering my book next year, though.

Or, you could have gone into any department store Saturday, at any time, and nabbed one of hundreds of avaliable coppies.

This british import is about as interesting as their boiled meats. I couldn't even sit through the first movie even when it was free to watch.

Now, the author in a stolen sex tape would be better. Maybe a broom in her arse.
