Yeah but what right do the people that disagree with it have to tell others how to love someone and that there is a right and wrong way to love someone? None whatsoever. It doesn't even affect the people that disagree with it! As the quote said, the country is obligated to uphold the constitution not the Bible. For some reason there seems to be confusion between two and it's really nobody else's business if you want to marry someone of the same gender. It's an act of love not a guideline to be followed and excluded from if you stray away from the Bible.

I would support gay marriage if it stopped there but lets face it, people want all the freedom they can get and pretty soon gay dads will want to adopt kids, infringing on the natural rights of a child. Now you say its ok for gay people to love each other in public or wherever if thats so, why cant i walk around naked? im a human being just like everyone else and i love my body so why cant I?

Do you know what discrimination is? The laws against public indecency don't discriminate and let a straight couple walk around nude while gay couples have to wear cothing. Banning gay marriage is an overt form of discrimination against those who are different. What's going to happen if gay couples are allowed to marriage? Are we going to go to hell? I'd rather go to hell knowing that people are happy rather than go to hell for ignorance. There are other forms of life on the planet and I hardly see why in the grand scheme of things humans are so important and need to dictate what is right and wrong for everyone.

I know a handful of gay married couples who have adopted children and nothing infringes on their rights. If you want to reason that way, then I say that alcoholics, drug users, abusive people and people with a history of mental disorders shouldn't be allowed to have children or adopt them either. A loving family is what you need, and before you talk about gender confusion there is enough communication, at least I HOPE, in a child's life other than through parents that the child would find the right path. I mean, yeah maybe you save a child some mental strife in that situation by banning then gay adoption, but it's not like they are NEVER going to encounter any of it elsewhere.

gay adoption is already legal.. produce documented empirical evidence to support your claim that having gay parents harms the child and HOW it harms and i'll start to consider that point.. but until you start coming up with something to support it, i and others will only dismiss your "opinions" as ignorance.

Im sure kids need loving parents but lets face it, a persons sexual orientation is directly affected by the enviroment that they grow up in. My dad was an alcoholic and my mom suffers from depression and anxiety but that doesnt mean they shouldnt have conceived me and im grateful i wasnt raised by gay parents.

Actually, it is more genetically based. You obviously are concerned about gay marriage if you have an opinion about it. Being gay isn't wrong, it's not a handicap like you appear to view it as. It's just something that goes on and it's not anybody's right to make judgements or discriminate against it. You are in control of what offends you and if you choose not to let it offend you then I'd think you see beyond a person's sexuality. They're humans and no different from anybody else. But obviously you are choosing the route of being offended by it because of some unknown insecurity of your own and quite frankly you don't even appear mature enough to discuss the topic if that is the case.
