Did they ever re-record "Only Dying"? Or was it scrapped for "Big Empty" before they had the chance?

From BELOWEMPTY.COM

Only Dying
Additional Info: This song was re-recorded in 1993 for the soundtrack album of 'The Crow'. When lead actor Brendan Lee died during the shooting of the film, the band decided to contribute another song they had just recorded: Big Empty. The re-recorded version of Only Dying has never been available.

My only exit is a one way out.

Thanks. "My only exit is a no way out" is such a sweet lyric, it's from "Only Dying" if I'm not mistaken, right?

"My Only Exit is a One Way Out.... (of here)."

You are correct. Lyrics are dark but great and would have been a huge hit on the Crow Soundtrack... Not that I'm complaining about Big Empty since it got me into STP.

You're exit may be a one way out, but it's time to take her home, her dizzy head is (still) conscious-laden.

One thing about "recording shows" concept. It's been so long that I too wouldn't mind just a greatest hits package and then some nuggest thrown in here and there for the radio/festival shows, and then maybe if they do smaller headlining shows they can cater to their artistic sides and switch things up and also to the diehard fans who'll be screaming for "Naked Sunday" or the likes of such.

HOWEVER, even if STP did the exact same set list for every single show they do on this reunion tour, you can always expect different things in between songs. Whether it's Scotty going into a little rant about Rock N Roll or the beauty of everyone at a concert. Or even things in the past like birthday celebrations and fun stuff. Not to mention the possibility of different collaborations with all the artists on these bills.

Those little tiny nuggets that come in between the songs are what really tie you to the experience. There's been plenty of shows where Scott has gone into a rant and I remember feeling super inspired by and wish I could get my hands on the exact words he used. Things like that can be repeated but never perfectly duplicated from show to show.

Maybe even record any small headlining shows, as opposed to recording festival shows. Anyhoo, I know I'd buy whatever shows I went to and then definitely any shows that seemed to have greater setlists or quirky comments about things that went on other than just the music.

STP will play the half time show of the NCAA tourney on April 7th and watch UCLA beat down on Kansas to win it all!... No? You're right, I don't believe that either, but seriously, I need UCLA to beat Kansas because if that does happen I'll win $500 in my March Madness pool.
