Hey, each to their own - it was a pretty pointless comparison anyway. I will say that, on "Peeling An Orange" and "Fill The Fields", you can really hear Dean stretching out as a writer and that ultimately led to some of STP's greatest ever material such as "Sour Girl" and "Bi-Polar Bear".

I honestly think that AoA could appeal to many classic rock fans who didn't "get" STP. Just a thought but I hope that happens...

Overall, not too bad. Doesn't quite gel as well as STP, or as heavy as Filter, but like many have said, still blows Velvet Revolver's garbage.

Richard's voice sounds great, but almost a little too clean. More dynamic for him, but lacks the dynamic range of melodies Weiland can come up with.

The Deleo's are two great heads that might as well be one. Can't even compare to VR. Slash should be grateful to even eat the clump of turds that fall from their asses, much less compare them. Would be pointless since Slash is still stuck in the 80's.

Ray does rock, and really pounds the drums with verocity, although in this track it was kind of over the top, and can lose the gel quality in the track as a whole.

I can see that. I actually like those two songs. Dean and Rob grow more and more each and every album. And I think of all the supergroups, this one will be more respected than the others.

Not a bad song. To be perfectly honest, I could just hear Scott singing the vocals to this, and kind of wish he had. While RP was not terrible, he just wasn't anything sepcial either. The sound is classic DeLeo. Ray's drumming is good, I'm totaly happy with this. I can't wait to hear what everything else sounds like. Just hope RP's vocals on the other tunes will be more creative.

People have probably said this already, but is there a set date for the AOA album's release?

I still think the release date is up in the air. I haven't heard anything.

According to a topic on another AOA message board, it's November 14.

I got a feeling that the rest of the album is going to be way better. Richard is a great vocalist. I can tell just listening to filter albums. I think the single is good and maybe radio friendly that is why they picked it. But even the unedited version may be way better.
