^angel is a really easy one to figure out.
you shouldn't always rely on tabs, just figure it out yourself. you'll become such a better player! anybody can look at tabs and play if they have a basic knowledge of guitar. BUT if you can play with your ear (you know what i mean), you'll gain so much knowledge about the instrument and become a much better player. Now songs like black rain and sleeping are a little more difficult to learn, so i don't blame you for seeking advice. but i always try to figure out stuff out on my own before i immediately ask someone else. if i fail, then at least I tried. but the longer you keep trying to figure songs out, you'll notice how much easier it gets. trust me only one man's opinion. take it or leave it ---------- The same things you're thinking might make you feel better, The same things that probably got you here. Angel, Sleeping at the Wheel, and Black Rain are all in open D (DADGAD), and a half a step down. Which, if you don't know how to tune to, you can go to my second tuning soundclick at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=709174 and tune your guitar to the Open D tuning. I might tab the stuff out - I wasn't going to tab any of the songs that aren't exactly 'songs' really yet, but, I might if I get the time.
I thought I tabbed out either Angel or Sleeping at the Wheel, or maybe even both before? Maybe not. Either way, maybe knowing that they are all in Open D will help you figure out the song easier by yourself and you might not need me, and you'll make H-Girl happy. I mean Harrison. hbp0819. |

haha, i thought that was over. i wasn't trying to be an a-hole or anything, i was just saying that you'd be better off learning stuff on your own. why do you think erik is so damn good? he can probably listen to a song and play it back the first time! ---------- The same things you're thinking might make you feel better, The same things that probably got you here. I know you weren't trying to be an a-hole, I just thought of that and threw that in there. =P And yes, for the most part I can. It's a curse, really =/ But being able to play the J-CAT stuff makes me happy. I wish I could have met Chris too, dammit. |

so eric can you gimme some more help?
|
||||

well...for Nutshell you can tune your guitar an half step down to Eb - Bb - Gb - Db - Ab - Eb
then you can use Cadd9 |--0---| |--3---| |--0---| |--2---| |--3---| |--0---| and you have to use this chord (I think it's called Em7) correct me if I'm wrong |--3---| |--3---| |--0---| |--2---| |--2---| |--0---| then you have the chords G and D use thatr through the whole song |
||||
|
Nope, ur right...That's the way I play it and if you watch Jerry on the unplugged video, that's exactly what he is doing! He does play some lead parts while Scotty Olsen continues with the chords we are speaking of.

I'm the only amazing lucky one in that department. =P
Okay, okay, okay, okay, fine. Tomorrow, if I get time, I'll tab out the three songs, or one or two of the three. We'll see. |
