Aaron Lewis all i want acoustic tab

I have watched a bunch of video's of Aaron playing this song at his solo shows.
The tuning is d-modal or double-drop d:

Db
Ab
Gb
Db
Ab
Db

or on chromatic tuner it would look like this:

C#
G#

C#

intro,verse and chorus

Gb--0--0--0--0

that's what he play's throughout the whole song,but when you barre down on the 9th fret then the 7th fret then the 5th fret
just strum the top three strings once and then strum all six.

The open tuning he uses for All I Want (He also uses it for Believe and some other TIOP songs) is Db Ab Db Ab Db eb

a buddy of mine went to one of Aarons acoustic shows.Aaron was given the wrong guitar for the song he was going to play and that song was believe.he explained to everyone that he has one guitar in half a step down and another one in the d-modal tuning and then went on to say that he uses this tuning for all i want,falling,believe and epiphany.I tuned my guitar to the d-modal tuning and it sounds exactly the same.

Yes, Epiphany is in DADGAD, but he uses the DADADe (another variation of Open D) for Believe and All I Want. It's almost the same tuning Mike uses but the high E isn't tuned up to that G that Mike does.

i see what your saying but i don't see how i would be able to do that without snapping the 2nd and 3rd string

If your strings are old, or you use a thick gauge, maybe. It's not THAT much higher.

Though, when I tune my high e to that Gb, I always think it's gonna break.

i always think it's going to break when i am tuning it to standard o well i guess i will just go higher and see what happens

Haha, yeah I've been in half a step down or lower tuning for so long, whenever I tune to standard I always think it's going to break. But the strings (should be) stronger than that.

i am the same way i am always in half a step down and when i even tune to standard i start sweating and keep my head way back from the guitar.this is why i need two guitars hopefully in a few months i will be able to get my j-45

You guys could always just capo them. Clothespin, works like a charm to just do one or two strings.
