just gotta say that I think the original staind tuning is half step down from the original A-dropp tuning. From the top: G# D# G# C# E# A#. Dont know why none can here it. Listen to Spleen ore Open your eyes and check the tunes you hear with a piano. Thats the tuning. Ive been to so many sites saying that Mike is is playing with a dropped A. But if im wrong please tell me. Maybe he is using some kind of odd tuning. Just gotta know! (but I think im rightSmiler)

Yo Barcode. The right tunining for those songs are "G# D# G# C# E# A#" You might need really heavy strings for these one.......(lucky you having a 7-string)

i know what you mean about the tuning.... all i see is people using drop d but you can clearly hear it is low... i am not sure why it is always tabbed d, also when you play along to the cd in standard drop d then it sounds off but if you go drop d flat then it sounds right except for the really low parts...

I think poeple just dont know that they are able to drop their guitars with different strings and guitar tunings. All you need is the skill Smiler. I also guess that people play the songs in another scale..like A3 instead of A2........get it?

well its not so hard, alot of mikes stuff only uses the D,A,D,G,B for the verses etc, its only when the song gets heavier that the A comes into play so technically there not totally totally wrong but they are if you get me. Mike generally plays in Ab if you compare against live recordings, maybe its brought down a note in the studio to fit it better around the other instruments

For mkutz, there is no E#, per se. It is one of those funny keys that has no sharp or black key on the piano between itself and the next key, in this case F. So E# is really F natural, or you could say Fb is really E natural. Same thing between B and C. It looks like Jordon has the correct tunings, at least I do recognize many of them as what Mike has used over the years.

Ab Db, Ab, Db, Ab, Db
Ab, Eb, Bb, Db, Eb, Bb
Ab, Eb, Ab, Db, Eb, Bb
F, Bb, F, Ab, Bb, F
Gb, Db, Ab, Db, Ab, Db

Those are the tunings for Chapter V(I just got the tab book). Schizo Conversations actually uses the F tuning, it seems Mike tunes up for that one. Mike also uses half step down(Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb) for Devil, Everything Changes and Reply.

Since Mike Mushok is my hero and i have Staind tab books and his signature baritone ill tell you his tunings witch are correct
* first Mike dose not play in drop D ok only Aaron dose on an acoustic

*Mikes Tunings on what albums
- Tormented- i wish i knew
- dysfunction- He plays in B flat off a custom ralph novax guitar and Custom Ibanez artist fitted with 75-14 gague strings
-Break the Cycle- All "A flat" 74- 14 gague strings with diffent tunings in between drop A except on Cant Belive he uses B flat.
- 14 SOG- He uses 74-14 and plays In "A flat" DOWN a step to "G flat" so its A tuning in G flat.
- Chapter 5- I belive is All " A tuning" Execept on devil and every thing changes were he tuned up witch i have no clue what they would be.

What i have given you is an accurate reprsentation of Mikes Tunings

Sure I would be happy to help you
*but first i must note that i have made some errors in my first post
* the dysfunction tunings were primarily "A flat"
and only two songs i belive you "B flat"
*The tunings for 14 sog were also primarily "A flat" and i belive only "Price to Play" and mayb one other song used "G flat"

On the side of a guitar to use for playing staind your going to need a baritone guitar.
* Now I use Mike Mushoks signature Baritone. However It is fairly expensive and costs about 800 dollars. However I paid about half that at my local music store. My guitar is going to the shop in about a month to get readjusted.
Any ways if that is to expensive there are still great baritones at better prices,
*I recomend the ESP viper Baritone 200 $400
*Or the ESP viper Baritone $650
These guitars can be purchased at www.music123.com

ok. i had to go thru all the dumb registration stuff just to set the record straight!! The tuning for staind Is.........
G#-C#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D# (7-string)!! For 6-string, it's obvious! Cut out the D#!! NOW go play all your favorite Staind songs!! If you WANT, I can probably tab out ANY Staind song! or whatever, go with other peoples tabs, cuz THEY know what time it is! *rolls eyes*
