I don't know if there's already been a thread like this before, but I wanted to know which staind song is the most relatable for you guys and why.

For me, it would have to be "For You." The lyrics in it totally capture what I've had to go through in my relationship with my family. I can relate to a lot of staind songs, but probably this one the most.

............
"As always should haves where I'm going
There's always could haves where I've been.
Anywhere but here,
I wish I was anywhere but here."
-Aaron Lewis

Um.....i think part of it. But not all of it. And its the chorus that I really talkin about. And besides, what does it matter what its about to him, every song means something different to different people.

So... Can't Believe... were you one of the unfortunate girls he's talking about at the concerts?

What are you talkin about? At the concerts? I like Can't Believe because we live in a fuckin shithole. And that song describes it perfectly.

"Can't Believe" is a reply to the blatant disrespect for human beings that I see every night at our shows. It's like fucking "Lord Of The Flies" sometimes. I see little 12, 13 year old girls basically getting raped on top of the crowd, getting their clothes torn off them, clutching themselves. Just terrible, terrible shit that I see. Just blatant disrespect for the people around you. You know it's somebody's little sister, it's somebody's daughter. Where the fuck did you come up with the idea that you think it's okay to do that just because you're at a concert? It goes to show that the most important job in the whole world, which is being a parent, has been completely forgotten about. People have forgotten how to be parents. That's like the beginning of the end. You wait. If shit doesn't change, you wait and see what it's like in 20 years."

I completely agree with everything he said, except the part about being parents. That's something I never want to do. But yes, I guess I think exactly like Aaron does.

Can't Believe upsets me, it's a song I always skip. I can feel Aaron's anger and pain and I know how he feels. Being a parent, you see things differently. Him seeing all the little girls being groped and fondled. Then going home and looking into baby Zoes eyes, knowing it was someone's little girl be mistreated. Since Aaron and I both have 2 little girls, I can relate to that song all to well. Gotta love the guy for caring so much about children he doesn't even know.

The song personally I can relate to is Epiphany because sometimes I do feel as if it is "always raining in my head" As a wife and Mom you get so lost in all of that you kind of lose part of who you are. It's a struggle to retain who you are as a person!

^The bridge is the part that really relates to me

I know I hear the words you said
Over and over again
I just can't get them through my head
There's just too many voices
Must be like living with the dead
Waiting for me to begin
To do the things I have said
And for this Im sorry

Seems it's a little late for apologies though

There's so many songs that I relate to...that say exactly how I feel...But, gun to my head...it'd probably be "Reality"...I'll leave the reason behind it out...But, you can guess...I assume that he or someone close to him knows what it is to "feed" this "monster" he speaks of in the song...But, the denial...The feeling of being alone...the hiding...All of those things are there...Along with an answer...And, a way out...Or, the idea that there's a way out...
A close second would be "Something Like Me"...People always throw around the term "unconditional love"...But, the only place I've ever found it is at home...for, and from my kids...Sometimes you wonder what you've done to deserve something so special...But, no one puts it into words like Aaron...
