My Choice is Break the Cycle it has an awesome balance of musical talent by staind and pure hardcore rock! the Staind that i love really came out on the first album i was introduced to.

My second choice would be Dysfunction

I had to voto for Chapter V.
I've been a die hard fan of staind from the beginning but every time I want to listen to their music my mind just automatically clicks o Chapter V. I Think its Staind doing everything they been doing over a decade just brought to perfection.

It's between Break The Cycle or Chapter V for me.

I'll have to go with Break The Cycle because it was my first Staind CD.

I love all of their albums for different reasons.

No way could I ever decide. I can't say that I like one album any more than another one.

it was hard for me between BTC and Chapter V...but I chose the obvious....BTC. But Chapter V is definitely my second...it's hard to rank em...except with 14SOG, that's easily my least fav. But between Tormented, Dysfunction, BTC, & Chapter V...fuckin difficult. I listen to Dysfunction the most tho...it's wierd...just fuckin hard. I don't know :-p

14 Shades of Grey was a stunning album! I think is the more personal album the band delivered yet. The one where they sperimented the more.

Of course I'm sure that the Illusion of progress will step even further in that direction.

I didn't say it wasn't an awesome album...I'm just saying that I don't think it measures up to the likes of Tormented, Dysfunction, BTC or Chapter V...sry lol :-p But I still do listen to it religiously because Staind IS my favorite band EVER!!! I'm giving up going to Ozzfest in Dallas to go see Staind...some of you prolly think that's a stupid move. But hey...I don't think it's stupid, I love Staind and I don't think Metallica deserves my money.

I like the lyrics on 14SOG the most. I just think the songs on that album are so well-written, but music wise I like BTC and Dysfunction the most. I love to rock out, and these two records deff bring the rock!

Look where you are. You really think anyone will think that's a stupid move? It's the ONLY move.

3-way tie between BTC, 14SOG, and Chapter V. Tormented and Dysfunction are great too, but they have zero elongated emotional attachment value to me, probably because I could never really relate to most of the rage and/or anger on those two discs. The three follow-ups have paralleled my life so much better in terms of lyrical writing (14SOG was a masterpiece) and transcribing emotions into musical style (BTC and Chapter V were very good at matching the words and music and setting them to the same tone).

In all honesty, I wish I knew why so many people seem to be hooked on the Torm/Dysf. days. In my own opinion, I'm glad those days have been buried in the past (this applies more-so to Tormented, Dysfunction had a few great tracks on it..)
