I swear I'm not the devil'... That is exactly how I feel. This was like my favorite song off the new album for a while and I would listen to it repeatedly. Then when I ventured past it I heard "Everything Changes" and I just fell in love! ahhaha... What song do all ya'll connect w/ the most, (It can be off of any album) and you can add why. I'm not sure exactly, but I guess "Take This" off the new CD I can relate to the most. Particularily the line "It seems that even though she's with me I can't shake this".
That's all I can think of for now. Bcuz if Someone just walked away what Could I really have said , but then who knows when its Just Him and Me like we could go thru things together I dunno that song for me is Very emotional, Devil is also one of those songs tooo. Please is a song about These Girls and how they sold me out bcuz of one thing trying to be all nice to me expecting me to be a certain way.. well thats just it from me

You should never let rumors get to.. Honestly I have said so much crap about people and people would said so much crap about me. Saying they wanna fight me, and me saying I want to fight them. It is. One day, this guy walked in (I didn't know he did), and someone that was with me asked "Do you like (guys name)?". I looked the other way to find out he was there, and said no. In reply to what the guy who asked me said, the guy said "So, I don't care.". Next day during lunch, some guy said that he wanted to fight me because I said I didn't like him. Because of this, I ended up leaving the school for lunch and spare, and I also stayed home for lunch for the next 4 days of the next week, before staying on the Friday. On the afternoon of when Staind came here (Nov. 3), I went to a store with some people during my spare, and rather than talking shit about me and asking me if I wanted to fight, he said some positive things. Then again, I kinda thought that it was just a rumor, because the guy who told me is a very untrustworthy person. I agree with you! Devil is my fav song on chapter V and it describes a part of me that's always existed.. I don't know the real meaning of this song but I found one for me. Unbelievable song!! |

Yea "Devil" although isn't really big w/ a lot of people, it seems. I think it was made so that everyone can connect w/ it in different ways..
In the first part he is talking about a girl: She sits alone again And tries her best not to pretend That all she used to live for Was the love that wasn't there And every time she needs to do the things That she believes Will fill the void inside of her Because he was never there [2x] And she says, 'I swear I'm not the devil, Though you think I am. The secound part is about a guy: He tries to sleep again And wonders when the pain will end The cuts, they may run deeper than his cracking outer shell He looks with tired eyes At all the people hypnotized And wonders what will save him From his self created hell. I swear I'm not the devil' This one can be about a guy who ruined everything in his life or about a guy who let someone else or SOMETHING ruin his life.. Either way guy upset because guy ruined life The last part is (I'm guessing) about Aaron: I always fail to see the little things in front of me The things that mean so much to you; a way to let you know. theres so many i relate to and they have all molded together in my head.
Fade stands out the most though and Skitso Convos. its hard though. i can relate to almost every song, not the entire song but the words Aaron said it made me feel like they were all for me. |
