I thought once Staind released their greatest hits album, that they were no longer under contract with Atlantic Records. A lot of bands will put out a greatest hits record to fulfill their album requirements and I thought that's what Staind said they were doing. I could be totally wrong on this, but I thought that's what I heard. Anyone else hear this?

It was just a rumor they would be done with Atlantic after the hits, they are locked in for 2 more albums. After TIOP comes out they still have one more with Atlantic.

That blows. Atlantic sucks my ass for dull razor blades...
They need to get on Roadrunner over here in the States. Roadrunner has a pretty good rep for letting bands do what they wanna do.

it sheltered me from nothing but the weather, I called it home for a moment of my life, this place I see just doesn't look familliar, I wonder if it looks the same inside....

I know, you go to their page on the Alantic website and they look like they just finished the BTC album and the news is older than hell!!

Honestly, IN COMPARISON (strictly on a comparative basis...), Atlantic is not that bad of a record label.

I agree. It's not that bad compared to some of the others. I was just looking forward to see where they would go and what direction their music would take. Like when Korn released Take a Look in the Mirror. That was their first release (at the time) after leaving their label and I think it's one of their best records. Kind of like a way to start over on a clean slate.
