Alright, honesty is the best policy right?? I'm HUGE on lyrics, but much more specifically: lyrical complexity. Unfortunately, I must admit, I've never been impressed by Aaron's lyrical landscape - most (not all, but MOST) of his lyrics are rather basic and elemental in terms of his arsenal of vocab. Luckily, what Aaron lacks in lyrical complexity he more than compensates in vocal delivery. Much of what could be said in a much more cryptic manner is delivered through the pain, anguish, and even beauty (hope that doesn't sound gay..) of his vocal performance.

But like I said, lyrical complexity is a HUGE thing for me. A couple of my favorite lyricists are Tool's Maynard James Keenan and Evans Blue's Kevin Matisyn.

I CAN, however, choose a line from each album that I can declare as a favorite, so here it goes:

DYSFUNCTION: "I lost myself inside your tainted smile again...."

BTC: "It's been awhile since I've gone and fucked things up, just like I always do. It's been awhile, but all that shit seems to disappear when I'm with you..."

14SOG: "My every thought is undermined by all the history inside..."

Chapter V: "Anticipating the ride to end before the wheels begin to move...."



EDIT: "Open Your Eyes", "How About You", and "Fray" are the three tracks that I think are ver well written through and through -- not surprisingly, Aaron's best lyrical pieces tend to be the songs directly relating to society as opposed to one on one relationships.

I really couldn't narrow it down either Harrison. There are so many songs that have such a strong feel and meaning. But if I had to slice of a tiny slither of a song it would be Epiphany of course. Because of the death of my grandmom:
