I will post one more. This one is actually really old, I wrote it a few years ago ('04), but it's actually one of those few cheesy poems that I wrote that I still like... well, I like it enough that I haven't thrown it out like I typically do with most of my poems over time. I hope you like it.


"Genuine Captivation"

This is a poem written by a man in distress,
Dedicated to a certain someone who is always on his mind;
Insecurity, he admits, is his greatest weakness,
A beautiful angel, he proclaims, was what he needed to find.
Now here she is, as breathtaking as can be,
Day in, day out, he knows she is his to adore;
So it has become so plain and evident to see,
That he could never ask for more.
If he read these lines I'm sure he'd concur,
Any time of the day, no matter when;
If it rained for every time he thought of her,
He would never see the Sun shine again

those last 2 lines are absolutely beautiful
