Its jus an idea. I thort maybe we could have a poem/lryic of the month kinda thingy. We could all vote for our fav one of tht month, then at the end of the month ill add up the votes and ill feature the winner at the top so everyone can see it.

POEM/LYRICS OF THE MONTH RULES!

1. A poem/lyric can be entered which has been written or posted at any time, but a poem can only be entered once.

eg. A poem/lyric tht was written and posted in January can be entered into the poem/lyric of the month competition for September but then cannot be entered again in any subsequent poem/lyric of the month competitions.

2. There will be a registration thread for ppl to register their poems/lyrics for the months competition. You can only register one poem/lyric, tho there is no limit on how many ppl register. Registration will occur durin the first two weeks of the month. Approx. 1st - 15th.

3. There will be a separate voting thread where anyone can vote for their favorite. Ppl who have registered can NOT vote for their own poem. And everyone only gets one vote. Voting will occur during the last 2 weeks of the month. Approx 16th - 30/31st.

4. I will then add up the votes and anounce the winner on the 1st of the new month. I will anounce the winner in this thread and i will then feature the winning poem/lyric so its at the top of the page for everyone to see, for the remainder of the month, until a new winner is selected.

5. This is jus a pilot scheme i thort id try out. Hopefully itll get lots of support and will take off. If so i was thinkin we could have a poem/lyric of the year competition. Where at the end of the year we'll vote on all the poem/lyric of the month winners and get an overall winner.

Why are you pissed off? Dont do it if you dont want to! u could leave it and start it up in the new year. January onwards... then have the poem/lyrics of the year at the end.

nah d/w m8, its just me doing stupid stuff to piss myself off, lol. besides, even though my vault of lyrics hasnt been filled up lately, i though we needed to get this section oif the fourm going again

This sounds fun. I can't say I'd ever get the guts to enter any of my own poems but I'd enjoy seeing what other people have to offer.

just no contest as of right now. you should definitely share what you got though

I agree...it's worth it's weight alone just to be able to see what everyone else has to write, let alone being able to enter your own stuff if you choose. When's it start?
