Days In Between


Bitter chills in the night
icy breathes escape my lips
clouding my vision
though the skies give little wisdom
to the answers I am seeking
fewer and fewer and days in between
indescribable definitions
imagined from within
gauging the distance
from here to the skies
I'll set it all ablaze
and watch it dwindle
and sift through the ashes
to find the answer
