About 3 minutes ago I was playing in a new tuning to me, and I was messing around with some chords and came up with this song. It's fairly simple, but it got out what I was thinking at the moment.

So I messed around with this song today, I recorded all the parts (every one of them I actually did on a first take, was the first time I've ever done that. Usually I do about 4-5 for each part, and I end up hating the song because I've heard it so much.) Anyway, I plan on doing the vocals to this soon, but for now I have the music uploaded on the Black Garden myspace, so check it out and tell me what you think.

Dude, the guitars are too loud. Your voice sounds great, though in some spots it's like you're not singing anymore, you're shouting. Try recording the rhythm part and you singing at the same time, then go back and do the lead over it?

I dont want to do the singing and the rhythm part at the same time, because it won't sound right, and all the sounds won't be picked up. And I was just singing loud, but didn't necessarily move away from the microphone like I should have, haha.

But I know that it sounds different depending on what source you're listening to it from. The vocals and guitar are the same when I listen to it, except for that "solo" is louder. And when I listen to it on my iPod its the same thing, but the "solo" is way too loud.

I had the vocals louder but I turned them down, because I remember when I recorded a joke song about a friend of mine, my friends told me the vocals were too loud, so... Later I'll up the vocals.
