if it werent for bands like Slayer the bands you listen to would still be poofing up their hair with tons of hairspray and would be wearing more makeup than your sister, singing about their rock n' roll fever.

2006, Slayers been around since 82. Thats more than 20 years, which is longer than all your hardcore and emo bands will stick around for.

An excellent-quality audience recording of METALLICA performing an as-yet-untitled new song during their headlining appearance Tuesday (June 6) at Waldbuhne in Berlin, Germany

The song sounds like somethin straight off St.Anger, and for sure it will sound just like that if the album recording is gonna be like St.Anger's. Not very excited bout this at all.

thats the problem i have with these new hardcore bands of today. sure some of them show talent, but they lack vision. any monkey can scream into a mic, and bang on their drums really fast, but they need to focus that into something more solid and unique

Well its true. if you had the average listener sample 3 different hardcore bands they wouldnt be able to tell its 3 different people. they need to define their style

It depends on what hardcore band you're talking about. I'd have to say Korn's unique, even you guys have to say that they're completely different from any other hardcore band out there. They have their own style, which many people try to copy.

i dont consider Korn hardcore, but since you brought it up.. Korn had a unique thing going when they first started, but since then they've churned out recycled riff after recycled riff. and will someone tell Fieldy that 'clickity-clack' is NOT a musical note! TIGHTEN YOUR STRINGS HOT DAMMIT!

i've also made the observation that Korn fans always hate their parents. its like some requirement or something, you must be filled with angst. seems like every Korn fan goes something like this, 'Hi i'm Bob, Korn is my favorite band and i hate my parents.'
