Went to see Styx and Boston last night, got free tickets from the new lead singer of Boston, Michael Sweet from Stryper. My friends started a Christian website and he gave them the free tickets and meet and greet passes. I don't know any Stryper music, but he said they are coming out with another CD next year.
Shroud-ing all the ground around me Is this holy crow above me. Black as holes within a memory And blue as our new second sun. I stick my hand into his shadow To pull the pieces from the sand. Which I attempt to reassemble To see just who I might have been. I do not recognize the vessel, But the eyes seem so familiar. Like phosphorescent desert buttons Singing one familiar song... "So good to see you. I've missed you so much. So glad it's over. I've missed you so much. Came out to watch you play. Why are you running away? Came out to watch you play. Why are you running away?" |

Seriously though, how was the show? I've seen Styx before and they were awesome. They were both awesome, but Boston had that guy they found on Myspace sing most of the songs, Michael did sing a few of them and he was great, he did more guitar playing than anything.

^yeah, the guy they got was actually from around Charlotte, I believe. There was an article about him in the Charlotte Observer last week...he worked at a Home Depot - now he's on tour with Boston.

He did a great job, although he had no stage presence. He did sound a lot like Brad, I give him kudos for getting up in front of 1000's of people to sing karaoke for real.
