I just got back from the Staind and Alter Bridge show, it was absolutely amazing. Alter Bridge unfortunately only had a 30 minute set, but they were INCREDIBLE.
They started out their song "Black Bird" with the Beatle's "Black Bird" which was fucking AWESOME. Anyway, to the Staind setlist. This was far beyond my FAVORITE Staind show. Aaron sounded great, Johnny sounded great, and the setlist was so different from the old norm I was extremely thrilled. So, here we go. Price to Play Just Go Right Here Schizophrenic Conversations Fade Falling Outside Falling Down (ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I LOVE THIS SONG) Turn the Page Intro For You Tolerate It's Been Awhile Believe So Far Away Mudshovel Incredible concert. Tolerate was so fucking awesome, I'm so glad I got to hear it. And Intro full band... I mean, Intro acoustic was amazing, but hearing Aaron belt it out full band was just something else. It was cool to see Aaron's new array of vintage guitars. He changed out guitars for every song, and played guitar for every song except for Mudshovel. He had an American Flag painted Gibson Les Paul he used maybe 2 songs. And the acoustic-ish songs (Schizo, IBAW, Turn the Page and Outside) he used this other guitar with an acoustic effect on it, other than that, every other song was a different guitar ranging from a couple different vintage SGs, some vintage Les Pauls, and and Fender Strat. Oh. Hinder was there too. But... I just played a game on my phone for their set. He was running around in a purple vest with a scarf, acting so completely gay (literally) it was just hard to believe him when he sang a song about a girl. It leads me to believe someone else writes his songs. Plus... dude, your voice sounds like you were a professional sword swallower, and you failed multiple times... C'mon. Anywho! Thanks! I like how I put that he switched guitars for IBAW but didn't put it in the setlist... And sorry for the random cutting out of the concert, my phone died since I had been using it so much previously haha. And at least you got to hear like 30 minutes of the concert. AWESOME SHOW E! we've already talked about this. but damn, thats a good set list. and thanks so much for calling me during Blackbird, it was AMAZING. damn i can't wait to see them on saturday.
And I just blew it last night, I wasn't at work...I was just in a restaurant and missed your calls. I'm pretty pissed, I would've loved to hear Falling Down. DAMNIT. and I'm still shocked about Intro....that would be amazing to hear the whole band do it. can't wait for the pics (and maybe video) and sorry you had to witness hinder...i'm not looking forward to it next month. ---------- I smoke the whole thing to my head, and feel it wash away.
