I just got back from tweeter in New Jersey - the show rocked overall..

- No Address played four songs and for a total of about 18 minutes... their songs are sorta catchy (though they should have played "a step away", but the lyrics suck and the lead singer talked half the time and was terrible...so overall, no address sucked

THey played:
Never Coming Back
(not sure what the 2nd one was)
Lasting Words
Sadie (when i'm gone)

- Breaking Benjamin was pretty decent. They played 9 songs and played for about 37 minutes. It was kinda funny, during breakdown, the sound just went dead for like 3 minutes and they kept playing even tho no one could hear. Their lead singer is a weird looking guy too! He sort of looks like and moves around like Krain from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...very strange. Anyway, overall, they were decent, though I wish they would have played follow, rain, or forget it...anyway, here's the set list:

Natural Life
Breakdown
Polyamorous
Away
Home
Sooner or Later
Simple Design
Break My Fall
So Cold

- 3 doors down was really good - the pyrotechnics were extremely impressive and they sound very good live. They played for about 70 minutes, including the encore, and probably could have played longer (they definitely had more good songs they could have played and 70 minuters is nothing for a headline band). They played a total of 15 songs...not a bad set list, but i would have liked to have seen Ticket to Heaven, Be Somebody, and Here by Me, or at least Road I'm On, I feel you, or Running out of days; they played Right Where I Belong and The Better Life, both which aren't that good...anyway, here's their list.

Right Where I Belong
Better Life
Kryptonite
It's Not Me
Away From the Sun
Duck and Run
The Real Life
Be Like That (this may have been before the real life, i don't remember)
Let me Go
Landing in London
Behind Those Eyes
Changes
Loser
Here Without You
When I'm Gone

STAIND was flat-out awesome. If you don't like Staind, then you probably won't really appreciate and enjoy the concert, but if you do like them (they're my favorite band), then you know how unbelievable it was. This was my first time seeing them live and it was incredible. A couple observations: Aaron Lewis' voice is unbelievable and every song was album quality; Aaron Lewis doesn't have a great stage presence as far as talking and walking around etc, but for those who love Staind, it doesn't matter. Also, Staind's set list was very good, and for those ppl who say it's not hard enough, that's ridiculous. They were incredible and I only wish I could have seen more. They played 13 songs and played for about 64 minutes. Here's the set-list:

For You (good opener - sounded pretty good live)

Crawl (I'm not a huge fan of this song, but it sounded great live - aaron did a great job with his voice where he's not really screaming but it sorta sounds like he is...hard to describe)

So Far Away (great, great, great especially at the bridge, when they added the harmony in and took it away from there)

Right Here (unbelievable live...it seems like mike adds in a couple extra chords at the beginning and it's awesome)

Fade (good song, aaron did a really good job with it)

Epiphany (OUT OF THIS WORLD, unbelievable...thats the only way i can describe it...this was the best song they played, it sounded insane live, i seriously was in a different world as they played this)

Falling (falling sounded incredible live...it had helped that i had heard the song on the net for the past couple days, but it really sounded great live)

Yesterday (THis is one of my favorite Staind songs...wasn't one of the best live performances of the day cuz Aaron sorta had to yell during hte chorus, but it was still really good)

Outside (2nd to maybe just Epiphany, outside was incredible..everyone was into it, and the band just sounded great)

Paper Jesus (i hadn't heard this song before tonight, and i could not get a great feel for it except that it's hard and its different... I liked what i saw, but i need to hear it again...the lighting during the song was real cool, and it's just very different in a good way)

Alice in Chains Song (Aaron sounded really good singing this, though I'd rather them have played another one of their own songs)

It's been Awhile (sounded great)

Mudshovel (I never loved this song, but it was fantastic live... the guitar is great and overall its a kick ass song)

Staind was unbelievable...I wish they could have played a couple more songs, especially from 14SOG, which only had SO Far Away and Yesterday, but they were still awesome.

I can't wait till the 19th when i see them again...what an awesome concert!

I totally agree with your review. Unfortunately, we were back on Row W in Section 100, but fortunately, I had binoculars and could see everything. In addition, the sound was just great. I've never been to the Tweeter Center, and although they pretty much treat you like an animal there (I'm 51 years old; I'm not sneaking in, so why do you make me show my ticket/internet full-sheet printout every single damn time I go back to my seat??), the overall experience was pretty good. I'm not one for stadium concerts. It's not about my age, but it is about the usual you-know-whats who go to these things and act like they've just been let out of a cage. People, it's 2005, you can put the lighters down now.

You won't believe this, but I didn't know there was another band on before Breaking Benjamin! Why? Because my two idiot female friends said, "Oh, it won't start until 7:00". I'm like "whatever" and we got there at least 20 minutes into BB's set, I'm sure.

Although the headliner was 3 Doors Down, we were there for Staind, and I got every last drop of concertgoing satisfaction out of their performance. They were nothing short of awesome and I felt they weren't onstage long enough. After the show was over, I said, "I know they're two different bands, but I feel Staind rocked out much more". It's really true, they lay down a much better beat than 3DD. I think what really put the nail in the coffin was the B101 TV commercial where they show them singing "Here Without You Baby" and I'm like uhhhhhhhhhh since I'm almost 52 I guess I'm supposed to be listening to this now along with Celine Dion???? LOL! I also feel and this is my opinion only, that 3DD has if I'm not mistaken almost a country feel to some of their stuff. I'm thinking this dude would make a good country singer.

Either way Staind absolutely ruled the house last night.

I love Staind, Matisyahu, John Butler Trio, Citizen Cope, and many others too cool to mention.

Really good review =)

They played the same setlist at the Meadowlands on 7/6.

I have to say though, I was thrilled they did a cover of Alice in Chains' "Nutshell" -- Aaron was amazing singing this song. He's the only one who can capture the raw emotion that song is filled with.

Agreed:

"Crawl" kicked ass ... LOVE that song -- AMAZING LIVE.

"Yesterday" was AWESOME live on 7/6 (sorry it wasn't that good on 7/9 considering it's your favorite song) =\

"Mudshovel" OMFG -- KICKED SOME SERIOUS ASS LIVE.

Still cannot get over the concert. The whole BB, Staind, and 3 Doors Down tour is one of the best I've ever seen so far ... and I've seen a hell of a LOT. lol

Like I've mentioned in another post... if this was your first time seeing them you havent seen anything yet. They're 1000000000000 times better when they headline. That was my 5th Staind concert and I thought they were horrible compared to their other concerts. GO see them when they headline, then you'll be in awe.
