Well It's been over 3 years since I've seen staind in concert since moving to the crappy place of jacksonville, fl. Papa roach and seether were great. I am really impressed with seether. Second time seeing them. I've seen papa roach way back when infest came out and they still put a lot of energy into their performance. Jacoby actually ran into the crowd and I got a pic of him right next to me. hehe.
As for staind.. wow.. it has been awhile since I've seen them and things have really changed. They opened up with suffocate which of course.. long time staind fan I went nuts! But I was really dissapointed with this one. Aaron does not get into it like he used to and he does not scream at all. I didn't feel that raw emotion like in the old days. Then they played pressure 3 songs from IOP.. the hit singles.. yadda yadda but completely suprised me with TOLERATE from Tormented!!!! I went insane when they played that. Aaron again mellow singing it. They had a awesome set list.
Over all it was a great show! As for stainds performance.. well mike still goes nuts on guitar with his signature dip but it don't seem to fit them now. aaron looks like he's just doing "another show". I don't feel him like I used to. That raw emotion has seemed to disapate quite a bit. Aaron no longer screams whatsoever so forget ever having another song like that. I don't know.. I love these guys but things have really changed.. Can't say I'm in love with it. Worse performance I've seen from them unfortunately. I understand times have changed but the emotion and feeling behind the words shouldn't. Maybe aaron had a off day.. I don't know..

i understand where you're coming from. i'm considering going to see them again tomorrow. was the setlist the same as the one that was shown in the "Setlist" topic?
Just looked at it.. Yes it is the same setlist. I think it's a pretty solid set list except for cross to bear and pardon me. I would of liked to hear everything changes and crawl or a flat. I'm really glad they decided to finally put tormented songs in their setlist and aknowledge that it was a album and one of their bests.

they've always acknowledged tormented. they've been doing "break" for a while and when their greatest hits cd came out, they did "come again." i agree with you about seeing "crawl" and "a flat."
and thanks for letting me know. i'm still likely to go since i love them and there's nothing else to do. lol. gotta support the band you love!
From the 10 years of being a staind fan and seeing staind over 8 times I have never heard them play a song from tormented. This was the first time. It sucked that it had to be so many years later.
