Yeah...I live in New Mexico...but I'm from Buffalo, NY and NYC is about 8-8 1/2 hrs away. NY ain't exactly small lol.

What's the seating deal there, I seem to remember a large floor area, and then balcony seating. But I can't remember if it's all GA...

The floor is GA and then there is mezzanine seating.

For those of you going to like 3 or 4 shows across hundreds of miles.... I have to ask... how the fuck can you afford that?! haha seriously, either you must be sellin' some hot shit on the streets or your job is absolutely killer. I feel like I make good $$, but I would never hit more than one show on the same tour, nevermind drive more than 100 miles to get there...... maybe I'm just a cheap bastard, but seriously, this has bugged me for a while now reading these boards... I gotta know how so many of you are able to do this!

I only go local. So if they play NYC and Northern/Central NJ, i'm there. Sometimes i'll catch an Atlantic City show but other then that I stay local. I used to go to shows further away but I no longer date the person I used to go with, so i'm back to local shows. :P

Excellent job + great money + tons of time off = road trips.......you're still young Jay, make tons of money now while you can....but dont miss shows that are close by......I've worked hard to be in the position that I am in now.....never went to college, dropped outta high school........but I always looked to improve my situation.......when our kids were younger, we had no time for shows....nor did we have the money.......now that the kids have become young men.....the burden is lighter, allowing us to do more of this......I've listened to Staind since 1998, and never got to see them in concert until Dec. 2006.....
Keep working hard, and continue to go up.....that's the best advice I can give you....never settle.....

I'm doin' my best T-Rod!! I just hope that when I finally decide to loosen up and take road trips to see my fav. bands that they'll all be disbanded by that time...... I've seen Staind 9 times, but that's pretty much solely because I happen to be lucky enough that their home is literally five minutes away from me, therefore they come around here pretty damn often (at least they used to......) -- but hey, I'll def take your advice, dare I be corny and say... I wanna grow up to be just like ya bro! haha. That's awesome though, good to see the hard work ended up payin' off for ya in the longrun!

so I need an honest opinion from you guys.... do you think they will get any closer to western mass. than this show or will this likely be as close as they get to their hometown for this tour? I don't want to miss this tour, especially now that their openers are f'ing killer and i love them all... but i also don't want to have to go to an unknown part of NY for a show... haha.. advice needed! i'd find it hard to believe they wouldn't stop by MA or CT again, or even NH. ANY of those would be better off for me than having to deal with NY traffic and tolls and all that crap (my apologies to you NYers)

Two word answer...

Passion, priorities.

Extended version...

Some people need the latest greatest flat screen TV, gas guzzling SUV, etc.

Some people need the biggest house on the block, the in-ground pool, and what not.

Some people sit in bars and give their hard earned money away one drink at a time with the same old sorry losers.

Then there are some of us that bust our asses, and make certain sacrifices to do the things we truly love. In my case, ski all over the planet, and go to rock shows. 27 in the last 2 years, and hopefully many more to come.

Like someone else in the thread said, work hard while you're young, and save $$$. You wil get there.
