i'm a diehard aaron lewis and staind fan, but this new single is pretty boring. it's like right now part 2. the intro is very similar to right now and the musical and lyric change towards the end of the song sounds like right now. with that being said i'm still excited to hear the whole disc if it's anything like the band describes it to be. they say it has flavors of pink floyd and straight up blues which sounds awesome. hopefully this new single is something they needed to keep the mainstream fans happy.

I hope you knew you would get your dick stomped for such blasphemy. I happen to agree with what you said. However, it is kind of redundant to start a new thread at this point. If you got the name of the song right, you would have to be criticized for your ideas.

Actually, many of us "regulars" not only agree w/what he/she wrote, but have stated it (as well as non-regulars that didn't get attacked). It's usually all in how you say something that gets us going, or not. And, he/she did not say anything in an assinine way (except for the really bad Right Now/Here snafu) that would upset us. If he/she only typed "Right Here" wrong once, that would have been one thing. But, 3 times??? Come On lol! It's hard to believe someone could be diehard (and hard to take them seriously) when they show that they apparently don't even know the name of one of Staind's top 4 most played songs are. That and the fact that there are already numerous threads covering this already are the only things to criticize.

Yea..... I was just looking for an excuse to use the phrase "get your dick stomped". Don't read too much into it. In fact, I don't even know if this person has a dick but I went with it anyway.

Apparently, Billboard was much friendlier reviewing Staind's new single than most of the fans here on the board! ::

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/content_display/reviews/...1072b47297b29cfa96df

There's no need to ask if Staind's "Believe" will be a hit—after a mere four weeks the song is already No. 9 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and the Massachusetts band's track record of airplay smashes further renders the point moot. The lead single from upcoming album "The Illusion of Progress" (due Aug. 19) is another earnest plea for acceptance and understanding whose appealing dynamic follows Staind's now-pat power balladry formula of soothing verse and crashing chorus. The group outlasted the nü metal trend because of its talent for creating intense, brooding rock, so it's not hard to "Believe" that the track's parent album is destined for the same platinum fate as its three predecessors. —Christa L. Titus
