i googled something about aaron, and i came across a thread on PearlJam.com's forums... These were posted:

To be honest, I like Pearl Jam and all but Aaron sings better than Eddie Vedder on any given day. Eddie Vedder doesn't really sing in my opinion. It's kind of like he's telling a story in his songs. I am a fan of Pearl Jam, but listening to Aaron sing Release will bring me to tears AND give me the chills, unlike PJ's version.

it's important to remember that these pearl jam fans aren't human..they will bitch about anybody covering pearl jam,,they did the same when chris daughtry covered black...eddie vedder is a crappy singer..but a great songwriter...aaron is an excellent singer and a great songwriter..therefore aaron wins

I appreciate what pearl jam has done for music but eddie vedder, in my opinion, can't sing at all. His vibrato is ridiculous. It sounds like a sheep. You can't even compare the two. Aaron lewis actually knows how to sing.

No i don't really mind other people playing Staind songs, but there aren't really any covers out there by big bands. For music with similiar qualities such as PJ and Staind, you'd think the fans would respect the other band, not bash it just because you don't like it as much
