yea i had Dysfunction too. I loved it. I like their heavy stuff better. But even reg fans like on youtube boards and stuff do realize it has been 10 years, and the bands older and aaron has kids now and crap. People do realize this stuff, but they still complain and want it to be real heavy again..

I'm not naive, I know that they will never sound like Tormented style again (Raw/Crawl/Spleen) but I will gladly take the Paper Jesus/King Of All Excuses style any day.

Age isn't an excuse to go soft. I don't expect the "I hate my fucking life" anymore, but they should still be able to rock.

You have to realize that in their Tormented days, they were trying to be the hardest band in Mass. They were just competing with what was big at the time, and two friends had semi gotten Aaron into some harder bands.

But, Aaron always did acoustic stuff. The J-CAT recording was done while they were recording Tormented. It was his style. They didn't really 'go soft' they just slowly developed into the sound they all wanted to really have.

Yeah but aaron always said Staind would be the hard stuff and his solo gigs where the soft side.
Keep it that way.... please....
I don't want soft and more soft.
How bout some variety?
Some staind acoustic stuff is cool, but I think they get too much of a rep as an acoustic band.
How bout a serious re-invention to stimulate album sales. And look what's still big here in Mass! METAL!
Bands like All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, and Shadows Fall, go out on stage and for $25 you get a show that's first rate. And these guys don't care about money or even how they do on the radio... it's all about making a nasty album and tearing it up in the lvie show. Those should be staind's goals. I think atlantic is still a very large issue, we need to get Staind hooked up with Roadrunner here in the states. They seem to be a label big enough to handle a major release and not fumble it up. And they let the artists do as they wish, without wanting singles just for the radio. Trust me folks, it's staind, they could put some stupid heavy shit out and people would listen...

it sheltered me from nothing but the weather, I called it home for a moment of my life, this place I see just doesn't look familliar, I wonder if it looks the same inside....
