I remember back in 2000 or sometime near that MTV was calling staind rap metal and i also remember hearing other sources label them that. How fucking stupid can some people be. Obviously they ever had heard them. Kinda like how sevendust got labeled rap metal. What because Lajon is black LOL. Some people really dont research thier shit sometimes.

they were labeled as numetal which i guess is rap metal. only because they came out when limp bizkit, korn, and other bands like that were coming out. there defintely not numetal

im pretty sure numetal has like a dj involved.. or like tons of effects.. staind i dont think ever fell into that.. i think they first started off heavy rock.. then just progressed into rock

i think mtv likes labeling bands, so they can fit into their little boxes.. it's much easier when you have these different genres to talk about.. not that i agree with the numetal part, though, haha..

Nah, staind is def. Not Nu-metal.. I would think of them as a New Form of grundge, which died off in the 90's, mixed with alternative metal... Ya, I agree MTV loves to label things.

Staind can't be labeled any kind of music. They change with each album

The labeling of bands bugs me; STAIND is definitely not NU-Metal, just good old fashioned Rock with a Heavy Metal side to them. Korn don't like being called that either but Limp Bizkit would definitely fit in that category if we have to label oh and don't forget Linkin Park but they sure aren’t any more, hell, I don't even know what the hell to say about them (not saying I don't like their music) it's just WAYYYYYY different then the Linkin Park I fell in love with!!! Whoa I rambled!!!

if i should name one band that fits the numetal label, it would be linkin park(the old stuff, i havent heard the new stuff)korn, maybe a little on the untouchables album, but the rest i dont think is. and def. not staind.. but it is hard to say.. saw linkin park this saturday btw, it was awesome, haha..(not to get off topic, ehh..)

I thought you said you haven't heard LP new stuff??? That's weird...did they only play their old stuff at the concert you went to?
