Things are kinda slow, so I thought I'd start another thread that (hopefully) everyone who wants to can participate in...TV shows and music that you like (or once liked) that you wouldn't go around telling people about. In other words, stuff you like (or liked) that you're not proud of.

First TV...when I was younger I was a big wrestling fan. Why? I don't know now. But I definitely was. Watched it every time it was on, even bought the magazines when I could get the money to do so, and for christmas and birthdays, sometimes i would get the wrestling figures (okay okay...DOLLS! haha). Yeah, I don't know why I watched that crap now. But I know more about wrestling than I'm proud of admitting.

Seems like I watched Alf a few times when it first came on. I REALLY don't know why I watched that shit. Alf sucks.

One time, I was channel surfing and came across one of those retarded funniest video shows. To my horror, I actually chuckled at something, though mercifully I've forgot what it was. So I thought "nope...nope...I'm not gonna be one of *those* people that think this shit is funny". I turned it and never watched any of them since.

Now music...this one is tougher to admit because I probably still like some of it. First of all, from birth to about 16, just about all I heard was country music (a little classic rock too, but mostly country). But in my defense, living in a small town in Oklahoma surrounded by mostly hicks, that's not that unusual. But anyway, I also know more about country music than I'm proud of.

Also, I have a weird fondness for 80's music. It sure isn't nostalgia because the 80's were a horrible time for me personally. But I dunno, I just like some of that shit. And I mean, the cheesy, overplayed "yep, that shit came from the 80's" stuff.

Also, though I've never bought any albums or even downloaded, I like *some* songs by Cher, Madonna, Air Supply, Chicago, Warrant, Cheap Trick, George Michael, Elton John, Jewel, Bonnie Raitt, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Paula Cole, Toni Braxton, Brandy, and even *gulp* Avril Lavigne. Probably more crap that I can't of at the moment. Wow...I look at that list and even I have to say "WHAT A HOMO!!!" haha.

Well, none of that was easy to write, let me tell ya. haha. Hopefully at least one person will participate in this thread so I don't feel like a TOTAL jackass. haha.

21 year old admitting to wanting to be a "planeteer" from Captain Planet in my youngin' days.

The irony of it all is that as a 21 yr old guy very much into politics, I am very much agitated and despise environazis .. err .. environmentalists, whatever you'd like to call 'em. That show was awesome though, I used to watch it every single day. The rings were killer.

I was raised listening to country music, but it's not really a "guilty" pleasure. I don't listen to it much anymore, but I do listen to it some.

I'm a fan of the TV show "The Golden Girls," but I don't mind admitting to it, haha. However, I'll only admit to it when asked straight out what my favorite TV shows are, haha.

"baby borrowers". i dont know. corny as shit. but some of those lil bay-bays are so cute.

TV--I still like to watch I Love Lucy, The Munsters, etc.

Music--I like some Christian rock bands--Third Day, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Todd Agnew and I always liked Michael W. Smith.

There's NO shame in my game. I'm truly not embarassed by ANY music I enjoy or any shows I watch or have watched...w/the exception of the few times a friend got me to watch that Brett Michaels show. I am not even the tiniest bit ashamed that a few co-workes an myself LOVED to watch The Simple Life together (sunny-si...sunny-si). Some of it was funny as He77!

Though I must say I disagree w/Flaffy...if I were embarassed by enjoying ANY music, it would be all the crappy 80's music I sometimes find myself enjoying and sadly seem to know all the words to lol

NO! lol

And, I DID admit it, Flaffy. But, most 80's music is by far the worst, so if there IS any shame, it wouldbe for that!

Oh, another one I have is classic TV. No, not like, '80s and '90s TV, I mean OLD TV. Leave It To Beaver, The Munsters, I Love Lucy, things like that. Oh, and Gunsmoke and Bonanza too. Westerns are the shit.
