Yes On Question 2 on November 4th!
On November 4, 2008, Massachusetts voters will have the chance to pass a ballot initiative decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana — removing the threat of jail time for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana for personal use. This initiative — which will officially appear as Question 2 on the November ballot — would save the commonwealth millions of dollars in law enforcement resources each year. http://sensiblemarijuanapolicy.org/ it sheltered me from nothing but the weather, I called it home for a moment of my life, this place I see just doesn't look familliar, I wonder if it looks the same inside.... |

It would be so nice to have cops spending more time busting people for harmful crimes, and to have room in our jails for people that commited harmful crimes, than to have them full of potheads and low level dealers. Yeah, so is the poppy plant. Just the seeds alone can and often do have high levels of codeine and morphine in them. Not to mention that one does not need technology to extract opium from Poppies, either. You only need to chemically process it to make heroin, Oxy, and other like pills/drugs. MOST drugs come from nature. There have been drugs for eons, despite civilization not having ways (technolgy) to alter them until about a century ago. So, please, if that was your way of saying it's not a drug, you need to put the pipe down and start reading lol. Seriously, that's just always been the most retarded and infuriating argument to me. BUT, this thread is not about that. It is about passing a law for people w/small amounts of a rather harmless drug to not be criminalized. And, I for one am all for it, for the reasons I stated above. So, all you Massholes should vote 'yes' on question 2! yea, it was a lame attempt lol. I agree with what you're saying but there have been medical studies that prove its less damaging than cigs. So if one is legal and the other isnt, what kind of picture does that paint? I know its our govm't's fault. I really wish people in authority would wake up and get it. The only reason it's still illegal is because of the passing down of the "it's bad for you" message and like Chris Rock said, "[Weed] is illegal in America for one reason, because the best weed ain't made in America".
