I've ended my relationship with a girl I have loved for 6 years....

Is there any way to help get over the pain. I'm at a low point now...I could really use some advise...

wow sylman...im sorry to hear...i know how hard it is to go through a break-up...all i know is that time heals everything....that may not be the advice you are looking for but that's all i have....because the way i dealt with break-ups isn't good advice....so hang in there things will definitely look up for you because things happen for a reason

Takes time man, that's all I can say really. It's hard to get over it, but just go on livin' your life like you do. Things always happen for a reason.

I can definitely relate with how you're feeling slyman. The end of any relationship is hard, especially one that lasted as long as your did. But Rosie is right about time being the best healer. Also writing poetry, or just writing your feelings down in a journal is a good way to vent your negative emotions. And of course, hanging around good friends is a good way to help along the healing process.

my girlfriend and i broke up in july. i was sure from day 1 i'd be with her my whole life.

i still feel it every day.

i know thats not encouraging....but these people here have really helped me. it hasn't gone away - but they've helped more than i can thank them for....ever.

so if you want to talk about it - you are definitely in the right place.

I honestly can say that in some situations time just does not help, but keepng busy and doing things you like does. Sorry to hear of your situation, btw! I fell your pain, man.

Again, Thank you guys so much, It just doesn't seem to get any better. I know time heals all, but right now, this pain couldn't be worse. I've just been replaying songs from Aaron and it puts me at ease. I'm truely lucky to have a bunch of great people like you.

Sorry to hear that... I just hope you can deal with this new situation and try to move on without suffering too much, I know it's hard but maybe you'll get the chance to meet someone else who'll be the right girl for you! Never say never.

sylman it's great to hear that Aaron's music is helping you through this...music is a great outlet....it helped me in my divorce years ago...and i was totally devastated during that time...but i pulled through and so will you...keep your head up
