it doesn't matter if there's a cap or not......good players dont wanna play for shitty teams....(Marlins).......they wanna play for good teams....(Cubs).....or GREAT teams....(YANKEES)....Why do you think A-Rod stayed with the Yankees when he could've gotten more money elsewhere?????? It's a bout being a Yankee...pride....knowing your team has been great for almost a hundred years.....it's about knowing he'll retire from the best team in professional baseball........

and tony - i know what you mean, but i still disagree haha. with no salary cap, how are the Marlins going to EVER have a chance to get good? its impossible to build up your franchise when some teams pay one player more than you do your whole team. and im obviously not just referring to the yanks...all of the "rich" teams in football have an advantage. check this out, there are talks of NFL dropping the cap if they don't agree at the next PA/owners meeting. what if that happened? teams like Dallas and NE would just be stacked...forever....while your bucs and my panthers would have a huge disadvantage because we don't have the history and the money those teams do. so that would suck, right? ---------- The same things you're thinking might make you feel better, The same things that probably got you here.
