I wish James could of had sidewalk angles and Robs music.He would of really liked it.He was the most kind and loving person.He surfed big or small waves.Was a firefighter the one who went in after smoke jumpers(in oregon)rode his moutain bike from Grantspass ORE. to San Francisco in six.Then he came home to califorina went to the local communtiy collage took botany/biolagy/native american phlosy and art and was one of the school janitors all before he was twenty two.Then he started to hear voices.I tried to take care of him at home for almost two years along with meetings and doctors.He thought he might do something to hurt his family so he had me take him to the hospital.He was in a state mental hospital for almost nine years then a lesser secure place.Then tried a board and care that lasted only two days then he put himself back in the hospital for another year and a half.They said that there was nothing else they could do for him.So thay put him in another board and care .He was doing better than he had and was going outside walking and was happy.Then on October sixth 2006 i could not get in contact with him.I called his socalled caregivers and made them file a missing persons report.December tenth thay found a body less than two miles from were he went missing.He had been so badley decomposed that we had to have DNA tests done to prove that it was him eventho the shoes had his name on them.It tookeight mounths for results.To me he is and always be my ANGEL.I watched Rob last night on pbs at Red Rocks it made me cry and made me smile.He and his wife truely have good HEARTS.James would of really liked Robs music.Thanks for being here and letting me babble on .Much love to you and yours.

It's my first time visiting this forum and yours is the first post I've read. Let me tell you how sorry I am for your tragic struggle and eventual loss of your son. You are not alone. God will guide you out of your grief if you ask him to.

I'm glad Rob's music has brought you some healing as well. He is a master with words and his lyrics and music soothe the soul.
