Rob and I wanted to thank you all for your generous support and wonderful postings.

First, we are excited to announce that the long-awaited TAILS TO REMEMBER DVD is here! Many of you expressed interest in making this available after it was screened at our Sidewalk Angels Foundation benefit last summer.

We hope you enjoy the documentary and that you will support Pets Alive by picking up a copy for yourself and/or your loved ones. The requested donation for the DVD is $25 (which includes shipping and handling) and can be purchased by logging on to the Pets Alive website. (Their link is available here)

Please note that 100% of the proceeds from the DVD sales will directly benefit Pets Alive.

I've also been touched by the many emails that have poured in. Some have been wonderful ideas to help raise awareness in many areas, including animal abuse/neglect, childrens issues and the homeless epidemic that continues in our country. Others have simply been wonderful people wanting me to know that they are willing to help in any way they can to make a difference.

I am excited about the many prospects opening up to us, and I will be sure to update you very soon.

Thank YOU for all your work! I support the local dog charity in my country (Portugal). It's hard work, especially for those involved on a daily basis. I try to look after the stray dogs on the streets, as much as I can, as the rescue kennels are working over their capacity.
The hardest thing is how much my heart breaks when I see them. Sure, they wag their tails when they see me on the street, but not being able to take them all home just tears me apart.
There are also those who don't trust humans anymore and that too is sad.

anyhow, Im off to show my support once again for the Thomas's and their kind hearts... my next stop is to pets alive. Sara is such a great lady and works so hard.. Im glad she has the two of you to help her, as well as ALL the others donating time to help.. but alas considering my location, money is the help I can offer.

If you come up with any, research, or anything that I might do to help with this gift of love, all you have to do is ask... Im there for you in anyway I can be.

kisses to your babies, As for me I have 4 new kittens to my ever growing cat collection. Im at 12 now, not conting my moms own collection.
( not that I mind ) love each and every one!
It helps to have lots of space for shelters and such... we are blessed.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I have always loved Matcbox 20, Rob Thomas and animals. It brought tears to my eyes to know that someone so famous and sureal is such an awesome dude!! You must be a jewel, I can't imagine him doing any better!What wonderful people you are, to think of others less fortunate than you. I have met Rob at a radio station in Seattle and I gave him a P.T t- shirt, April 12 2005 ( I am sure he does not remember) None the less You guys are so cool.. My mom Has a small horse ranch in Port Townsend Washington, and we greatly appreciate people like you. Keep up the work, and I will always continue to help and follow all you two do... The Tails to Remember DVD is absolutely wonderful! Both you & Rob are wonderful people and so supportive! The world needs many many more with your devotion. I volunteer at Pets Alive working along side Sara and it is an honor to do so. I have not been able to be there as of late due to a car accident I was in, but I am rehabilitating & hoping to be back very soon! I do so miss being there!
Again, it was a beautiful DVD and very touching. Thank you both for making it and sharing it with the world.

I found the DVD on my doorstep after I came back home from Canada and it's wonderful !
Though I thought I had an idea about Pets Alive and the wonderful work Sara does I have to admit that I really didn't. There is so much more heart and soul in it than I could ever have imagined and I had already thought very highly of both.

All these wonderful animals who were saved and those who will in the future truely found an outstanding home and I am really glad you made us all aware of how needed this place is.

The DVD is very sad and hopeful at once and I HAVE to say it, seeing you and Rob with Tyler and hearing Rob say that Tyler needed a home and you needed a Tyler brought tears to my eyes. You three just belong together.


I still would love to help somehow and will do as you told me in Montreal. Thanks so much for your time and kindness.

I'm glad to hear that the animals have a guardian angel. I'm excited to hear more about the human element. What kinds of things are being done for the teens in need? I'm just curious. I would like to know what other endeavors SA's is supporting.

Its not that I think Pets Alive is not a worthy cause. The no kill shelters in my own area are the ones that I support. I support SA every year also and I am hoping that not all of the contributions go to Pets Alive. I was just wondering if there are other programs that you contribute our donations to?

I'm new to this site. I found it in researching children's charities to get involved in. My family recently relocated to Connecticut. I am originally from Texas and am a little worried about raising my kids in an area as homogeneous as it is here. I was very involved with make a wish foundation when I was younger, but now as I have children, I am looking for a foundation to volunteer my time with my children. My daughter is only 2 and son 4 months, but I think if issues such as poverty and hunger are not part of their lives now, they will never truly understand that where/how we live is not the norm. My question is....do you have local chapters working together with certain organizations? We live close to Stamford and I know there would be a lot of opportunity there for volunteer work with children. I'm thinking on the lines of reading to preschool children or dropping off meals to families (maybe coordinated through local churches). I haven't fully thought this out...and in realty I'm hoping you have something like this in existence so we can just jump in.
Please advise.......
