I just know what my brother tells me since he's a big fan. I know he got some email about the new album on Saturday, don't know what it said, though. Wow, I didn't think the 12 Stones were played in Canada. How'd you discover them?

They're not played in Canada, which makes me really mad..but i first discovered them when the WWE used "Broken" for one of their PPVs...ever since then they've been one of my favorite bands.

Hey, at least you discovered them. I have some Canadian bands, such as High Holy Days, I like that aren't really played here, so I understand your pain.

I haven't heard anything about them in a long time. Their first album was a classic, the second one was good but not on the level of the first one. Are they still on Wind-Up? There's been talk of Wind-Up getting bought out and that a lot of their bands would probably get dropped.

They already drop a lot of their bands. As for the buyout, I'll have to ask my brother. He's the Wind-Up expert in my family. I should see him this weekend.

Yeah, they, like any label, drop a lot of their bands that don't sell enough albums. But when a label gets bought out, usually even more bands get dropped than normal. I'm hoping that they don't get bought out, there's too few labels out there as it is, but I kinda have a feeling it'll happen.

Rsle9, I asked my brother about the Wind-Up thing & he's never heard of it. Where did you hear this?

I just could never get into these guys. They're really fun to be around, sweethearts they are. But they've always sounded like a watered down version of 3 Doors Down combined with Creed to me.

Whoa, whoa, wait a second....Wind Up is DROPPING bands? Since when?!?!

I ain't messin' wit' no broke niggas. Wink

Thanks for the answer, rlse9. I wonder if that one quote is true that this third record is only please Wind-Up & then they're breaking up. I know Wind-Up is connected with Warner Music Canada.

I don't know, it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to get out of their deal...for as good as their first album was and how many potential hit singles it had on it, they received next to no airplay. I wonder how much Wind-Up did to help them. And it sounds like there was a lot of pressure on them to change their sound for the second album. So, it seems plausible to me that they'd want out of their contract. Not sure about the breaking up part, but I hope not.
