If Chris Cornell comes around GO SEE HIM, his touring band is pretty good and they play EVERYTHING, they covered Redemption Song, played a bunch of soundgarden stuff, and he hit the notes perfectly, i am amazed he is that old and can still sing like that. From Audioslave's studio stuff i figured he was losing it but i was wrong, definately a recommended show.

I have seen Chris 3x solo (with his new musicians) in the last month. He is off the hook and has been playing a great mix of old and new, group and solo songs. He even pulled out a couple of Soundgarden songs that he said he had not played since the band broke up in the 90s.

His new CD, "Carry On," will be in stores tomorrow June 5th. Check it out - his voice sounds amazing!

He also has a few radio & TV appearances coming up that you might be interested in:

His new CD is good. I wasn't originally planning on buying it but after listening to the streaming version over at AOL I've decided I like it enough to pick it up. I'm happy he decided to go solo, Audioslave was good but after 3 albums it had gotten a little old. A fresh sound musically for him is definitely good. Now if only 4 different stores didn't have exclusives for the album...just lame, why not just throw all of it on the CD and make it a really good deal and it'd sell more copies overall.

What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you

As I had mentioned in my previous post, I really thought he was awesome live and have now had the chance to listed to the new CD a number of times all the way through, I have to say I really like it. Way different from AS and SG and much of his other past work, but it is clearly Cornell and it is really catchy. I especially love 'Ghosts'. I have to say, hearing him sing a few of these songs live, his voice is even stronger now than when the CD was recorded.

I had the privilage to go see him play here in Cincinnati. It was well worth every minute. 2 plus hours of Chris performing some of his classic songs. How could you ask for anything else?!! It rocked!

I saw Chris in April in Dallas & was surprised at how much better his voice was. Great concert! He sang a little of everything from his Soundgarden, Audioslave, & Euphoria Morning days.
And, of course, from his new album Carry On. I love Killing Birds & Ghosts. And also his version of Billie Jean.
I plan to see him next weekend at the Buzzfest & again in Dallas on the 30th. Woo-hoo! Rock On

I just saw Chris and his touring band for the 6th time since April and, believe it or not, they are getting better and better.

The band has really gelled and Chris has been mixing in a few surprises with each show. Latest is some Zepplin and Superunknown songs.

They are still touring the US for a bit, off to South America & Mexico and hopefully back to the states. If he comes near you, go see him, you won't be disappointed!!!
