So this whole American Idol/David Cook cover thing is idiotic, they announced that it was using Cornell's arrangement and all of that, and people are being stupid about it. Plus, the guy sang his balls off.

But anyway I wanted to see what his fans thought of it, so I hopped over to their forums. I was shocked to find talk of him recording an entire album with Timbaland. Seriously. Like, what?

Supposedly it's going to be out next month some time... but it was described as "rockstar in da club".

I'm really sad and worried, I hold Cornell waay up there in the respect bracket. But this seems like such a disgusting sellout...

Anybody know more about this than I do?
