I just got an email saying POD was leaving Antlantic - I googled it and the only sentiment I can find is that it's from lack of promotion. Any one else hear about this?

Blabbermouth and theprp both posted that P.O.D. have left Atlantic. Atlantic seems to be on a roll recently, did a horrible job promoting Cold's last album, didn't do any better with P.O.D.'s album, dropped Smile Empty Soul before they could even release their album...

What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you

For what it's worth.. Good for them! Sometimes you have to be set free to really fly.

I think with all the new bands coming out today the market is so over populated that some bands get lost in the mix. Happens more times than not! The bands that deserve a little extra push are left on their own to try and make it. And sometimes it's best just to make a clean break when there is no label help. Seeking a smaller label may be a good thing for POD.

Yeah, just look at Nonpoint. Their record label isn't exactly large by any means but they make Nonpoint there #1 band and it has helped!!

Ya... they left.

Sonny's dreads are super long to- I saw them play in May (the band, not the dreads.)

Umm, for the kid who asked what atlantic is... it's a record label and shinedown is apart of it.. heck shinedown is probably the one and only reason why atlantic is popular.

Not to be dising Shinedown, because they are the greatest...but to say that they are the only reason Atlantic is popular is retarded...

Staind, Shadows Fall, Matchbox Twenty, Buckcherry, Jet, Kid Rock, Metallica, Rush, Simple Plan, Skillet, Taproot, Zeppelin not to mention all the pop and rap acts they have
