Hey, has anybody got any info on the new album? I really like that song "Famous".

I know I'm going to sound like a real bitch here. BUT....have you bothered to check Puddle of Mudd's website for news about them?

You certainly nailed that sentence, it was 1000% correct. I have checked out the site, and nowhere have I been able to get any info on the album other than the cover and release date. And I have just seen that the single has just broke into the top 10 on Billboard Rock Chart.

What is it you are trying to find out about it? If you can base the rest of the album off of "Famous", save your allowance. Instead purchase Operator's CD which will be released July 10th.

P.S. Billboard's charts suck.

OK if I'm boring everyone with a band noone cares about, let me know. Otherwise,if you like POM, please say something, they're one of my fav bands and I would like to know who else likes them. If you're not familiar with POM, heres where you could here some songs, I'm sure you know at least one.


POM Singles and Tour Webisodes

I read today at the Alter Bridge board that it's coming out Oct 9... same day as AB's new one.. Blackbird... it's only got 6 tracks.. with 2 live cuts I believe...

The POM cd release has been put off with no release date as far as I know. It was supposed to have been released a long time ago but was pulled for "more work on it"

I just heard "Psycho" last week and boy does that one suck hard! Come Clean was an amazing album. I didn't think it was possible for them to record an album more horrid than Life on Display. However, I do believe with only Wes and Doug remaining in the band they will succeed in doing so.

I agree Come Clean was a great album and Life on Display was a HUGE step down from it, only with a few tracks that can be boasted about. But other from Away From Me, Heel Over Head, Nothing ZLeft to Lose, Change my Mind, Spin You Around, Cloud Nine, and Freak of the World, it really sucked. But one the reasons the band has mentioned is the fact that the last album was carelessly made, and that they thought they could relax and let the next album would just pick up on the succes of Come Clean. Instead it was an average album that sold next to nothing. The fact that I am excited about the Famous album is that I am a big POM fan. I like most of their material, and, as long as Wes is in the band I won't have a problem buying any of their releases. Because what I realy like about them is the songwriting and vocals of Wes.

PS. I actually like Psycho. Please, would you not use the thread to talk about you don't like them. I am simply asking.

You are entitled to think whatever you want. Just as I am entitled to KNOW what I do. I won't go into details, but the above statement is another bullshit excuse. 1/2 of a band doesn't quit from carelessness.

Trivia question for you Mr. Diehard fan...Who has co-writing credits on Control? I bet many on this board can answer that question.

I'm sick of defending things I like, I'll just say I like puddle of mudd and am excited about next album and would like to know if anybody likes them. I am not arguing with anyone about the band.

I received an advanced copy of the CD today. As much as I don't want to admit....I actually like most of it. It is nowhere as kickass as Come Clean. There are A LOT of ballads. Definitely a much more mature sounding POM. On a side note..Wes sounds like he might finally be sober and in a healthy relationship. The jury(ME) is still out on that one.

I have always liked POM. I saw them in April and thought they were great. And look forward to the CD

The reviews I've read have stated that it is much better than Life on Display but not near as good as Come Clean. I gonna get it tomorrow.

I believe there are only 4 of the 12 tracks, which ARE NOT slow songs. It is much better than Life on Display...but sound nothing like Come Clean. The album doesn't really sound like Puddle of Mudd....that's how different it is. Like I said, this it quite the departure from the sound POM is known for. I'm rather curious to see how this ends up selling.
