Anyone know of any bands (other than shinedown of course) that have strong vocal talent. After listening to shinedown almost exclusively for the past 2 years or so i kinda wanna expand my music collection with some new good stuff.
Unfortunately, because i listen to shinedown so much... i kinda have high standards when it comes to vocals. So if any of you know of any newer bands that have good vocals please lemme know cause ive been lookin for a couple months and havent been able to find anything that has blown me away.
evanescence. not really my style, but that girl can SING. also try SD label buddies, Halestorm. they've got a live EP with 5 tracks, and they're on the tours. and while he's not for everyone, i really like the guy from Coheed and Cambria.
And shepherds we shall be, for thee my lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. So we shall flow a river forth unto thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris Et Filii Et Spiritus Sancti.

I actually hate this band, but Ryan Peake from Nickelback (Lead Guitar/Vocals) has an awesome voice...personaly, I think he should break off and do his own thing. I love Maynards (tool) voice too.

Try something new, try Halestorm. Lizzy has a big, strong, knockout voice, and she's just a 'lil bit of a thing. Guitar player is hot too. They have a live CD, only has like 5 songs. I dunno if they have a commercial record out or not. Anybody know? )O(-Donna
Acoz~ i can see that ur looking to get into newer bands, something u can get into before the masses do... thats what i always try and do... before the bands become to mainstream.
Like my fellow shiners look into halestorm, silvertide (they'll remind u a lot of Zep) and one of my new favs is panic value (remind me A LOT of SD) all of these bands have "myspace" its worth it just for the music.
Let me know if u checked any of those bands out and tell me what ya think...

Halestorm doesnt have a record out yet. For now, you have to settle for the EP, which is AWESOME! They should have a record out by the end of this year or early next year. Be sure to check them out, well worth it!
