Leave This Town... who's got it? Who loves it?
I do, and I do. I'm still at the stage where I'm digesting it all and mostly listening to my favourites, but I really dig it. Particularly, I like Life After You. It's just.... a really loving song, and kinda speaking volumes to me right now on a personal level. Anybody else? Would love to know what the guys in SD think too, seeing as how Brent penned a track on his debut. - raymond Break your silence and tell them who you are, they’re all witness to a shooting star... |

I think that it's ok. I also think that they're just trying to recreate the sound that came off of the first album since in was a monster success. But I do think that it has some pretty good songs. I really like Every Time You Turn Around and I think that No Surprise is really catchy with some pretty good vocals. That is one thing that I can say...I may not completely like Daughtry's sound, but the boy can sing.
Where you been? Where you from? Don't you know us? We're the ones who got to steal the sun. |

how is it compared to the first one? is it any heavier on the rock? i thought the first one was a good debut album, but nothing really special. good singer, but had some room to improve as a songwriter from the last album.

I think the first track is the heaviest on the album. Then most of the rest of the songs all sound alike to me. (at times somewhat countryish??) Until you get to the end, like the last 2 or 3 songs, I like those the best.
A friend of mine just saw them at the Vic Theater in Chicago and said he put on a great show. Chris jumped into the pit after the last song! I just got tickets to see him October 24th. |
