On October 9, Alter Bridge will be dropping their new album entitled Blackbird. They already have two new songs up on their myspace. I love this band and am stoked about this album. Ties That Bind is and incredible song, not to mention Myles really gets to show of his guitar work and that amazing set of pipes that he has. We also can't go without mentioning one of the best guitarists around in Mark Tremonti.

Meh.... I couldn't really get into either of those songs. They weren't bad, they just didn't grab at me like their debut album did.
Also, Myles Kennedy is a better guitarist than Mark Tremonti. They are both awesome, but Myles is a better guitarist. His old Jazz-Fusion stuff is absolutely amazing. The new Alter Bridge CD is fantastic! So nice to have something new to listen to...something that rocks and something very meaningful! Myles has a great voice! much better than the last one in my opinion!

I loved Stapp.. and his voice... it seemed to fit the 'mood' of the songs for Creed...
but that's gone.. and Myles is SO much more vocally talented than Stapp ever could be..... it's not the same as Creed for me... but I love AB a BUNCH... (bought 4 cd's lol) I just wish people would give them a chance...if only they knew what some of the songs were about... eh.. shut me up.. glad you like it! |

They shuffled to my way here recently and that CD ain't nothing compared to the live show. Fuckin incredible!

I got to see them live in Chattanooga, and they were incredible. I must say that the new album is amazing, but it doesn't even hold a candle to their live show. The quality of Myles' voice and the duel guitar playing along with Mark is unbelievable. I really want to go see them again. Not to mention they brought out Dan Toler, formerly of the Allman Brothers Band, and Whitfield Crane to do a rendition of Whole Lotta Rosie. This was after Myles did a solo cover of Traveling Riverside Blues. I'm still amazed.

I did hear the whole show from Philadelphia.. wasn't there.. but wmmr radio broadcast the whole thing live.. and Myles doing TRB is awesome.. |
