Ok... I was finally able to get my hands on a promo version of this cd(which means it isn't final mixdown, but close).

The songwriting as always is top notch. The singing has gotten better with each album, including this one. There are actually a few guitar leads on this album, and the musicianship as whole, is better.

The only complaint I have is that the entire album is only 35 minutes. Only a 10 track album. That just isn't enough, especially when you make your fans wait 3 years for the damn thing.

This is one of the best written, and most poignant songs I've heard in a long time.

'World So Cold'

It starts with pain
Followed by hate
Fueled by the endless questions
No one can answer
A stain covers your heart
And tears you apart
Just like a sleeping cancer

No I don't believe men are born to be killers
I don't believe, the world can't be saved
How did you get here and when did it start
An innocent child with a thorn in his heart

What kind of world do we live in
Where love is divided by hate
Losing control of our feeling
We all must be dreaming this life away
In a world so cold

Are you sane
Where is the shame
A moment of time passes by
You cannot rewind
Who's to blame
And where did it start
Is there a cure for your sickness
Have you no heart

No I don't believe men are born to be killers
I don't believe, the world can't be saved
How did you get here and when did it start
An innocent child with a thorn in his heart

What kind of world do we live in
Where love is divided by hate
Losing control of our feeling
We're dreaming this life away
What kind of world do we live in
Where love is divided by hate
Selling our soul for no reason
We all must be dreaming this life away
In a world so cold

There's a sickness inside you that wants to escape
It's a feeling you get when you can't find your way
So how many times must you fall to your knees
Never, never, never, never
Never do this again

It starts with pain
Followed by hate
No I don't believe men are born to be killers
I don't believe, the world can't be saved

What kind of world do we live in
Where love is divided by hate
Losing control of our feeling
We're dreaming this life away
What kind of world do we live in
Where love is divided by hate
Selling our soul for no reason
We all must be dreaming this life away
In a world so cold
In a world so cold

I read on another message board that this album is really good. I'm planning on picking it up, their first album was excellent, second album wasn't quite as good, but Lie To Me is really good so I'm hoping the rest of the album will be good. And they're playing at Taste Of Madison on September 1st with Hurt, hoping to see them there.

Album comes out next Tuesday. Along with the 10 studio tracks, it includes an acoustic version of Lie To Me. Best Buy has it for $7.99 next week.

What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you

I saw 12 Stones last weekend in Springfield Il. They opened for Daughtry. I don't really know their music but I did like them, and of course Daughtry rocked!!

Definitely a good album. Not sure if it tops their first album but it's good. A little short, 38 minutes isn't overly short but it goes by quickly. Lie To Me, Broken Road, and Arms of a Stranger are probably my favorites so far.
